Sept. 30, 2004 As another day comes to an end with the setting sun also reminding us that today is yet a new time for us all, it is a day when voters and non voters alike will be drawn to their television sets. For it is the first of three debates by John Kerry and George W. Bush. It is a test, a test for both men to excercise their oratory skills as well as eloquence with the language of English. While that is being weighed, it will also be a time for everyone to see both men in the same room simultaneously since the campaign for President began. And as both candidates dazzle its viewing audience with their knowledge of the subject matter ( National Security) a collective sigh will be heard throughout the land, for everyone will be listening carefully. And when it is all over, the various forms of the news media will analyse, dissect and recount everything from both men's body language throughout the contest to the speed at which each response will be given. For this is a very special election year. Everyone is watching, even people who live abroad will be paying close attention as one man obtains an opportunity to gain a stay in the "White House" while the other fights to stay in the same place he has taken up residence since the election of 2000. And as they verbally emphasise their plan for a safer America and world, the stars in the sky will be on display once again, reminding us that another day is about to begin. Win, lose or draw, we will rise up and breathe once more like we have the previous day, the day of the greatly anticipated debate. ------------ About the author Judy Ramsook: I am in the process of publishing my first book titled: "Karen's Adventure" which is about two young girls who go in search of their missing parents.
