Sept. 28, 2004 It is amazing to see the response, or the lack there of, to this War On Terror. The Anger is all but lacking. Our country is in denial. World War Three is upon us and our Goverment and Media, by and large, seem hades bent on protecting us from only one thing....The Truth! What is the truth? That is the most important question. I am sure many could tell us much more of it, if they were willing to end their careers. What could they tell you if political correctness was not silencing our first amendment? Our President, whom I for one admire, asks us to be resolved in our commitment.He even speaks of our country's problem with attention span, and how quickly we forget in this microwave society of ours. At the same time if he was to stoke our fire to help keep the flames burning and our resolve high, many in our media would blame his administration of using the war for political gain. This is not a time to play Catch-22. On 9/11 we were all witness to a horror beyond belief. We have been sheltered from the evil by oceans, goverment and media. Countless attacks went unanswered before 9/11 as our war machine was slowly dismantled. Deals were made with a rogue nation leader in N. Korea that are unexplainable unless one looks at them as bying time and sending the problem into someone else's watch.A President wouldn't sell us out for his own vanity would he? If we were to ALL open our eye's and really see the danger for what it really is, I believe that not only could we win this war, those who have trouble understanding the magnitude of the situation would understand with a new clarity. How come it is ok to show Iraqi children in less then pleasant situations because of the war, and it is Taboo to show victims falling from the towers? What powers control our media that would allow such an onslaught of coverage over the Abu Graib scandal of the less then perfect treatment of terrorist by a handful of mis-fits, yet wouldn't dare show you one be-heading of non- combatant Americans and other Allies? Peace-ful religion. What do you say to that? Is George Orwell God? What is peaceful to you ? If you were told that 10 percent of a certain thing would kill you no matter what, would you consider that peaceful? I believe saying only 10 percent is being conservative, but that is my nature. If 10 percent of bull dogs would kill my child and my neighbor raised them, I would build a wall to protect my children from what I believe to be an unexceptable risk if I could do nothing else. If it is such a peace-ful religion, then why are we spending Billions to protect our selves from it? By denying the birth of this nation being founded on Religion, more to the truth, Judeo- Christion values, the enemy now faces us not as a whole, but, devided into many tribes. We are no longer United and that is the Truth that my eye's see. The false sense of unification in the days directly following 9/11 are exactly that...FALSE. It just became politically incorrect to say any disbarraging words against our country during mourning. Most likely out of fear of being female dog slapped by those of us who are Patriotic. The enemy knows our religion is dying in the West and he also knows that religion is this country's greatest strength. The weaker our religion, the weaker our people. We are all immigrants to this country, it is just a matter of how many generations. I believe there is something really sick, like a cancer,growing on our current living generations. It is busy destroying all truth about the history of our great nation. Teaching our children that being an American is something they should be ashamed of! Those who are not teaching this are allowing it by remaining silent. Taking away our culture via removing holidays or dumbing them down to the point of irrelivance. Celebrating other culture's holidays for no reason but....well I don't know. When my family arrived here in 1765, they learned English. they came here because the culture was superior to all other cultures..the greatest freedoms which brought about the greatest in all. Our German heritage was all but traded and this became home. This country can live with all people, but it does not need all people. If these latest of immigrants can not speak out against the evil that comes from their own. If they will not point the way to those who wish us harm, then I say they need to leave. America is what it is because we are all a family, and I pray that we can keep it that way. I still can not stop feeling like we are sleeping with the enemy. We need to hear the peaceful religion's people speak out as often as the terrorist do, condeming their evil acts each and every time. Otherwise they are no better then millions of others who sat in silence while Nazi's, k.k.k., communist and many others who hate to death, did their deeds. Many may ask what the silence really means ! In conclusion I would like to say that just as WW2 was not a war on planes, tanks and ships....This is not a War On Terror! Terror is just the weapon. What is the enemy's name? Think about it.
