Sept. 28, 2004 In a recent hit by "Dido", a song titled "White Flag", she sings about having confessed to a romantic liasion how she feels about him when she utters the three words from which most intimate affiliations begin. The three words being, "I love you." Although this is one way of informing a certain someone about how one feels about the person he/she is dating, from observations made, I have deduced that saying those three words can evoke one of two reactions. If the person to whom the words are directed feel the same way as you do about them, the sentiment will be returned, but if he/she is not ready for such a commitment, then speaking those words may act as a reason to assess the situation and further act as a motive to end the dating process. There seems to be a certain amount of time until such words can be said, so while spending great portions of time together one must go along with the dating procedure. Your self esteem may feel like it's on a roller coaster ride until one knows for sure how the other individual feels about you, hang in there until such a time, for if he/she did not have the same sentiment as you, the relationship would be ended sooner. For it takes only the first couple of dates to realise if you are compatible with the other person to know if you want to spend more time with him/her. So if all is going well, enjoy the journey for it's the destination that will prove to be worth it in the long run. ------------ About the author Judy Ramsook: I am in the process of publishing my first book titled: "Karen's Adventure" which is about two young girls who go in search of their missing parents.
