Sept. 28, 2004 The outlook wasn’t brilliant for the D.C. nine this year. The score stood 9 to 1 with an election for all to fear. But after many votes the Primaries had their say. John Kerry would be “The Man” against who Bush would play! The Democrats were ecstatic that their hero won a war. And when the chips were really down with evil- speak he swore; That “He’s Da Man!” the One who’d be there at the core. The “GO TO” guy that’d bring the Party back to the fore! At the National Convention all the Democrats did see; Their hero of that long ago war, a fighter, all did agree. They stressed this would be the test of a perfect presidency; That would regain all the seats lost in past incompetency. Ah! But then the Swift vets came in vengeance and in truth. John Kerry wasn’t anyone; especially Babe Ruth! And all the longing Democrats fell long in the tooth; That Kerry wasn’t what he was but something strange; FORSOOTH! LET’S LIE! LET’S LIE! LET’S CENSOR! LET’S CONDEMN! Those dirty rotten truthful and dedicated men. It is John Kerry our hero we must defend! So claimed the Democratic arm of CNN! Then CBS and NBC and ABC joined the fray. How can we bash that Bush against John Kerry today? How can we fool the Blogesphere with anything we say? How can we forge and lie and cheat to keep the RNC in disarray? We’ve failed with Dean, and Braun and Graham! We’ve failed with Gephardt, Edwards and Lieberman! We’ve failed with Clark and Sharpton and Kucinich! We’ve only Kerry left! Where’s Popeye with the Spinach? Oh somewhere in election land the sun is shining bright. And elsewhere in election land conservative hearts are light. Republicans are laughing but the Dems can only pout; There is no joy in D.C. Mighty John Kerry is striking out. ------------ About the Author: Michael John McCrae is an Independent, Conservative, Christian who has been personally insulted as a voter because John Kerry thinks the "Heart and Soul of America" lays in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. Well, Michael McCrae thinks America is better than that. Michael McCrae believes there is at least some morality left. So Michael McCrae is going to leave this here (until after the election) as a reminder to all of what John Kerry and John Edwards believe the Real America to be.
