Sept. 26, 2004 I had begun to think that the John Kerry campaign couldn't sink any lower than virtually hiring CBS news to produce a hit piece based on forged documents. Then along came John Kerry's response to the Iraqi Interim Prime Minister's speech before Congress. Essentially, he accused a visiting foreign leader of being a liar and taking the positions of hope and promise that he did in order to help President Bush's reelection campaign. Isn't this the guy who thinks he'd be MUCH better diplomatically with our allies than President Bush and brags that he's "nuanced" when it comes to dealing with foreign leaders? In his eagerness to find something--ANYTHING--to use to try to lower the stature of President Bush, he's "nuanced" his way into insulting a good, close ally in the war against terrorism. Now THAT'S what I call Democrat "diplomacy!" Once again we find a Democrat Presidential candidate needing to issue abject apologies-- this time to a foreign head of State. It's the only honorable thing to do under the circumstances, but again, for that reason, we probably won't see one forthcoming. One has to BE honorable to do the honorable thing. ------------ About the author: David A.
