Sept. 20, 2004 Useless-Knowledge Sundays and now a minute with Lee Zelhart. Ken Hughes and Michelle Malsbury didn't ask me to do this. Okay, Ken and Michelle, you're off the hook. (Did I just hear two deep sighs of relief?) Anyway, what is a Sunday news show without some commentary? Maybe a few thoughts? With that in mind...I just heard on one of the St. Louis stations, which shall remain nameless, (Can you say VOICE OF ST.LOUIS?) make mention John Kerry and George W. Bush are like 9th cousins. Talk about keeping it in the family. Now, I've got that out of the way. Actually, I'm writing this early Monday, so maybe this should be the UK Morning Update with Lee Zelhart. Hey, that sounds pretty cool...uuummm, does that mean every morning? Sorry, I don't do mornings and...okay, I do. Am I bad. I'm sure Michelle and Ken tried to get ahold of me, but then Michelle at least knows I was busy looking for a dog in unusual places and training my son's fish to speak. (Don't ask. Actually, he does do a very good fish version of "Beg".) So anyway, I was thinking, yeah sometimes I like to do that. Some might not think I do though. Hmmm! Well, I was. I was thinking while watching crime dramas on CBS last night, starting with 60 Minutes,(does CBS stand for Criminal B*** S***? Hmmm!!)As I was saying...Barack Obama is wasting his time. What I figure is this. Alan Keyes is better suited to the Senate. Alrighty then! Mr. Obama, as I was commenting to my daughter, with that name, should be better used tracking Bin Laden. He ought to be able to blend in with the population of the Middle East and track down Al Quida and Bin Laden. How about a reality show? On the trail of Bin Laden with Barack Obama. We'd just blur out his face (hey, there's a plus) and it would be commented on by Mr. Obama. Kinda like The Great Race, only just in the Middle East (unless, of course Bin Laden leaves the Middle East, interesting.). Hey, that brings up another question. Are Alan Keyes and Barack Obama 9th cousins, or something? Sorry, Mr. Keyes, I was shocked to learn the awful truth about President Bush this morning (you don't want to try to follow my train of thought this early in the day.). I gotta go. My son's fish is calling. That darn fish is way too spoiled! Nuff said. Semper Fi! (I gotta go back to bed.
