Sept. 19, 2004 Politics, politics, politics. So many young souls believe this game called politics is so dirty and only the dirty ones involve themselves in it. That's why most times, the profession cannot boast of many faithfuls. Politics in Africa is often times characterised with assasination, war and violence. An average African sees politics as a no go area because of the calibre of people involving themselves in it. It's mainly a rich man affair. They have turned the profession into an avenue of making quick money, not forgetting the fact that they have also turned it into an avenue of going against the law of the land. What a shame. They scare young and vibrant souls away from joining their parties unless they are sons of their fellow leaders. Like I always counsel people who really want to be a politician but who by every standard cannot measure up to the rule of their godfathers, the only reward for wise men who fails to go into politics is that they will be govern by the fools.
