Sept. 18, 2004 Although it usually runs its own presidential candidate, in this election cycle the US Communist Party announced (this week) that it is fully backing John Kerry for President of the United States. Considering Kerry’s past and present anti-American/anti-war (he’s currently anti-the-Iraq-war but who knows when he’ll switch back again?) and the fact that his picture is proudly displayed as an anti- war “hero” in Communist North Viet Nam, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. What continues to be a surprise (to me) is why anyone, who has a desire to keep the US intact as a sovereign nation, would vote for this man. Kerry’s predominant support comes from the “new” Democrat Party of screaming anarchists, anti-all- war sympathizers and anti-American base. Note: I wonder if the anarchists truly understand who and what they are. Webster’s Dictionary defines an anarchist as: “one who rebels against any authority, established order, or ruling power.” So, even if Kerry were to be elected (terrible thought), I assume that his anarchistic base would turn on him. Food for thought, Mr. Kerry? So, on one side of his voting base Kerry has the anarchists (against all authority/government) and on the other side the Communist Party (FOR big government that will satisfy each and every conceivable need of the proletariat). No wonder Kerry’s campaign has become schizophrenic! Mr. Kerry is now ranting about a Bush Administration “secret plan” to call up and deploy the National Guard and Reservists immediately after the president is reelected. In Albuquerque, yesterday, Kerry said: "He won't tell us what congressional leaders are now saying, that this administration is planning yet another substantial call-up of reservists and Guard units immediately after the election." Hold it, Mr. Kerry. Irrespective of the fact that your premise and statement are ludicrous, if “congressional leaders” (who you won’t name) are saying it…how can it be a secret? Like most of what Mr. Kerry is saying, these days, this doesn’t make sense. Is paranoia becoming the predominant message of the Kerry Campaign? Our choice for President of the United States is becoming clearer and more defined. If we want the candidate of anarchy and Communism (although this makes no sense as it’s like having matter and anti-matter touching each other…that causes total annihilation of both), we vote for Kerry. If we want the candidate of courage, consistency, economic growth and strength in the face of adversity, we reelect President George W. Bush. Pretty easy choice. ------------ About the author: About the author: Sher Zieve is a Conservative political commentator, appeared on the CBS program "Mysteries of the Millennium", has been included in "Who's Who in the West", "Who's Who in the US" and "Who's Who in Entertainment".
