Sept. 17, 2004 I was idly thinking about Iran and North Korea yesterday, and wondering why they would want nuclear weapons. And then I started to wonder about who actually had them in their closet, and who should be allowed to have them. Well, the USA of course. That's obvious. And the Brits, I suppose. They're just Deputy Sherrif, European Office anyway. But what about the French? I mean - seriously - would you trust a frechman with a nuclear bomb? Don't forget they're 10% Muslim. And they eat garlic-flavoured cheese. Enough to send a cold shiver down your back. And then there is Russia. Historical reasons dictate that they must be allowed the figleaf of a few bombs, but this should definitely not extend to Ukraine or Kazakstan. We're going to regret letting China have them. Those guys have a serious over-population problem. Perhaps the Japanese might be persuaded to buy a few, just to even things up. And India. Well, of course, if they're stupid enough get them, the Pakistanis next door will have to get them too. Oops - too late! And if we're talking about real crazies, there's North Korea. Definitely don't understand those guys, and they don't like Americans either. Did South Africa have them? I don't know, but I do know they are currently non-nuclear. Some one has seen the light. What about Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Canada? Should we pay them not to have nuclear weapons? Or perhaps we should be paying them to HAVE them - sepecially Canada. Some-one ought to share the burden. But you'd have to be really nuts to let nuclear weapons into the Middle East. I mean, think about it! Those guys are really nuts and they HATE us. Except the Israelis, of course. They're different. I mean, they wouldn't do anything wrong, would they?
