Sept. 16, 2004 In a move destined to become an historical decision for the “mainstream liberal media”, CBS’ President Andrew Heyward has made the decision to stand by the (proven over and over again) forged Bush National Guard documents and, now, to present “new evidence” as to their authenticity. However, CBS will affect an ‘internal investigation’. In other words, it’s the fox guarding the henhouse. This is not acceptable, in any arena. CBS’ announced “new evidence” comes from the 86 year old former secretary to LTC Killian. Although she has already said the documents are fakes, she says that the “sentiments reflect” how her former boss “felt”. Although this flies in the face of both the legitimate documents she prepared for LTC Killian and Killian’s family comments (and the fact that she is a self-professed liberal Democrat), CBS presents this as its “new evidence”. It’s “how he felt”? Are these fraudulent documents to be justified by how Killian’s former secretary believes the (now deceased) LTC Killian felt? This is crazy and would not hold up in any US true court of law. It also destroys any semblance of CBS as a journalistic and news organization. In other words, CBS continues to stonewall, in order to buy time and hope this controversy goes away. With this action by CBS, will the “mainstream press” no longer need to prove anything it writes? Whether or not CBS operatives actually wrote these documents, will it now be able to create (AKA falsify) any other documents it wants, with no repercussions…because it’s “the press”? This is insanity. As I’ve written before, the First Amendment does NOT cover or permit fraud. Faking documents (or knowing they’re fake and presenting them as factual) to unseat a sitting President of the United States (spec. during an election period) is not only interfering with Federal Election Law but, effectively constitutes an attempted coup d'état by a press organization. But, even as CBS’ own “experts” (who proved not to be experts after all) have backed away from Dan Rather and CBS and real experts have EXACTLY duplicated CBS’ documents on MS Word, CBS seems locked on a one-way path toward continued lies and deceit and oblivion. There is no way that CBS can continue to legally and ethically receive the benefits and protections accorded to a news organization. It has clearly and unequivocally shown itself to be a partisan arm of John Kerry's campaign. If there is anyone who still believes CBS was “duped”, those beliefs have now been dashed. CBS has now shown that it was and is a full participant with the Kerry campaign in this on-going smear of President Bush. CBS’ status as a 527 has now been fully confirmed and the FEC should now demand that CBS file its papers as such. NOTE: The FEC will need the “originals” Dan…not forged copies. CBS’ Dan Rather even had the audacity (nee arrogance) to demand that President Bush respond to the fake allegations presented in its fraudulent documents! Huh? How can (or why would) anyone respond to fabricated allegations? CBS appears to have lost its collective mind. Christopher Cox (R-CA) sent a letter on 14 September to Hon. Fred Upton (Chairman Subcommittee Telecommunications and the Internet- 2161 Rayburn House Office Building Washington DC 20515) to begin an investigation of CBS’ apparent forged documents. The honorable Mr. Upton replied by saying he was “not inclined” to pursue it. With these new statements by CBS, I beseech Mr. Upton to reconsider. We in the public have been utterly and deliberately deceived! CBS has now completed its journey from a news organization to a Democrat media organ. Therefore, CBS has, legally, lost its ‘protection’ as a news organization. Mr. Upton, we voters beseech you to investigate CBS’ practices. Under any guidelines of US jurisprudence, fraud is a crime. There appears to be ample evidence and enough true and ‘certified’ experts to prove it.
