Don't Kill The HIV/AIDS Virus!

By Werner Reyneke
Sept. 14, 2004

Virus versus Man - Is this really the case? No. It is rather virus against virus, for if we honestly think about it, the human species is also a virus as both of us are sponging on Earth and both of us have been born from Mother Nature in a quite incidental fashion. And we are both sick in our primeval drive to survive by devouring anything edible, by annihilating anything obstructive and by being worn by the body of life. And by that peculiarity of trait, we can view life itself as being a sickness, madness – for living means dying, as from the moment of birth we are being masticated by grinding Nature until our remains are lifeless and broken down into elements which will be the composites for new life, just to continue in the meaningless, absurd cycle.

HIV(Human Immunodeficiency Virus)is a virus which causes AIDS(Acquired Immunity Deficiency Syndrome): This utterly fascinating killer of a virus is probably one of the most feared; apprehended and battled threats to the human species to date. It kills thousands of people every day all over the world. It multiplies in quantity at an even more precipitous rate than human population growth.

Where does its success come from? One of the reasons is simply because it is a virus – viruses are extremely good at changing their form and “strategy” of assault, in order to confuse and to jump the malignant attacks of humans or any other opposing force for that matter. Another reason is that it transmits primarily via sexual intercourse, which is the natural means of perpetuation of our own species. So, while we create, it positions a caustic, destructive energy in the midst of this process. However, for me the appealing facet of this virus is not really its biological properties, but rather the multi-dimensional relationship between it and humans.

Essentially, there are three interfaces of connection: the parasitic relation between the virus and its host; the views and perceptions a propos its existence; and the acuity coupled with intervention on its activity by scientists. The original rapport, involving parasite and host is one of raw instinct from the side of the former and an emotional together with physical pain in retort from the side of the latter. This, as it concerns human interest, is also the centre of orbit for the remaining two relationships between human and virus. The awareness and opinions about this fellow life form awakens from this point into once again a triangular extent of direction. These three trends are: for; against; and indifferent in character towards the virus. Well, the last mentioned one is the simplest – individuals who do not concern themselves with the HIV virus phenomenon. The second one is also quite simple in its contention – individuals who are against the existence of the HIV virus are so, because of an obvious threat they experience and because they have the notion that the virus is against life. From here, we can see the first mentioned position rising against this partly false perception.

While it is true that this virus takes the lives of humans, it is also true that it minimizes the human to resources ratio – and this is where the beauty of it all begins: the world is so much over populated at present to the extent that people are dying from hunger and poverty. There simply isn’t enough food and other resources available to accommodate the ever growing human population. The HIV virus is the answer to this dilemma! It is nature’s way of controlling population. If some humans (I think the term animals is more appropriate here when referring to such base and idiotic people) never contemplate the effect of their over active procreation they deserve to die by the surly claws of this virus! Because those people are killing our future and present health by continuing there unwanted genes so blindly. I know there are people contracting the sickness by accident, and I do feel sorry for them. But those who either willingly, ignorantly or just manifestly by idiocy infects themselves and others are in any case not useful to the intelligent and conscientious world. We can do without them!

I can however, understand why the majority of people in the world are against HIV/AIDS and pro the development of a cure against it – they are either intelligent scientists who are well aware that the first one to come across the real cure will be labeled a universal genius and become very rich, or they are total idiots who are incapable of thinking clearly in order to see what a relief the effect of this virus can bring to an over populated world!

Man is so arrogant in thinking and trying to control everything, that when he suddenly is checked himself by something such as a virus, he doesn’t even realize the incidental opportunity of nature itself actually assisting in this area of control. It is only good that every once in a while something comes along to put human vision back into perspective.

Viva the virus!
