Sept. 13, 2004 I have the perfect election night commentator. Especially now since he's an official UNPAID campaign advisor to the Bush/Chenney campaign. I'm sure he will keep Dan Rather under control. Lending a balancing voice of reason to Reasoner and keeping Koppel on a straight NightLine. Rush Limbaugh. Oh, yeah, I know...you Libs out there are gonna HEE HAW (pardon the pun) about it, but think? Who else would have everything to lose if he gave a state to a candidate before the polls were closed. I mean if you can't shut Dan Rather's (I'd Rather NOT) yap this HAS to be the way to go. I've been of the opinion for almost four years (who said Democrats had a monopoly on sour grapes) if Dan Rather had kept his pie hole shut (or in the words of me Irish great grandmo' her Shut his Gob) Gore wouldn't have been close to having Florida (Okay Michelle, mabelle, it's true). The polls weren't even closed and here was freakin' Dandy Danny Rather (NOT) flappin' off about Florida going to Gore. Give me a break.) Look, I used to respect Dandy Dan. I thought he was a stand up guy. Now, after election 2000 and all the time his lips were obviously locked to Clinton's butt and now Jolly Johnny (Heinz) Kerry's I have come to see him for what he is: A stand up comedian. Same way with Mickey Wallace. The whole 60 Minutes gang is suspect. Yes, Andy, you too. Rush is biased, true. Everybody knows that and that's what makes him the perfect election commentator. He balances the left handed slant so well. He won't let some clown get away with awarding any states until the ballgame's over. As I said, he has everything to lose if he did that. So move over Rather, Matthews, Koppel, Jennings, and all you other Mainstream Media Bozos. You guys make room at PMSNBC. Rush is entering the building. At least if I had my way. "Just to make it fair." Nuff said. Semper Fi! ------------ About the author: Lee Zelhart is a proud graduate of McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois.
