Awareness

By Werner Reyneke

True self consciousness will be such an absolute, or pure absurd essence which will be a stance or perspective without being a perspective and without being at all, as being is perspective, for being means that the being is rendered a possibility, where this possibility as a greater, transcending realm casts its effect in a subjugated form and thus another perspective. It would be a nature all its own which is utterly above and beyond any existence or any perspective. Self-consciousness proper is an impossibility also, and perhaps solely because the self-conscious instance would, in order to be truly and infinitely self-aware, have to be self-conscious of every eventual self-reflecting act - the self- conscious act would have to transcend itself into absurdity of actual non-existence. For as long as self-consciousness are designated or pointed at there will be that realm which makes it possible as such. It follows then that there can only be proper self-consciousness in non-existence. Or, self-consciousness can only be self-consciousness as such when it is merely itself as an abstract instance which is not aware of itself, but purely itself as the self- consciousness. Thus we have established the non- existence or, impossibility of self-consciousness. Now I will expound on the ‘illusion’ or’ will to’ self-consciousness. The phenomena of incomplete or pseudo self- consciousness becomes generated as a result of the eventual aggregate effect of the accumulation of environmental impulses. As there can be no real or complete self- consciousness – the only self-consciousness is complete or proper – so rather, as there can be no self-consciousness at all there can only be receptors of impulses. The receptors can come in different sizes - such as the human brain - the biggest (most complex) we are aware of. We make the distinction between mere animal awareness or reaction on the environment and the so-called true self-consciousness. This true self-consciousness is merely more complex and more intense receptor, or sponge which consequently sucks in or, absorbs larger and more complex amounts and intensities of environmental impulses, it does not become a self-consciousness proper, but merely a container of ‘more’ of the infinite variety or, continuity of nature or the ontological environment. Environmental impulses cannot penetrate into anything around in the environment, but only into receptors. In being there is thus the existence of a sea or flat continuity with patches of intensities of environmental flowing. Almost like flux flowing through a largely smooth area with here and there paths of glue, some small some larger, and accumulating on certain spots. Thus, pseudo selves are generated. They are deemed pseudo or incomplete because they are not truly or, properly Selves or absolute perspective less existents. They are merely eventual generations of the spawning environment. We are thus accumulations of intensities in absolutely, solid and static continuity in the Is. Possibilities are incomplete absolutes or, completely possible instances.

There are things greater than self-consciousness or gods themselves – their very and physical possibilities. But what then is the true and proper absolute, the transcending possibilities themselves? No. Our ideas and notions of such ends\infinities\absolutes\wholes\etc. are signs of the human, or for that matter any instance of a possibility –rendered incapability to suggest any ultimate cause than the absolute. The highest possible thought or, awareness that any possibility is capable of is rendered by, or determined by that which makes it possible.

As long as you are subjugated to your own possibility, you can not think beyond that possibility - you only think in terms of the next transcending cause or absolute – which is in the end not an absolute in any sense, because it is transcended or, accounted for by the consecutive cause or, possibility. That is why throughout philosophy no theory contemplated - for instance Plato’s theory of the forms, which by the way, paints a perfect picture, or serves as a sign of how this impossibility of speculating beyond absoluteness operates, or propagates through every instance of being – anything beyond the ‘absolute- one’. So we can not contemplate what lies beyond the ‘absolute or infinity.
