Sept. 3, 2004 As you know this election is getting a massive heat wave, especially when it comes to the two candidates. Of course you have your Bush team and you have the Kerry team. I just watched our President, George W. Bush, speak and it was an incredible speech, but there are still some people that really hate him. Is he really that bad? I remember during the tragedy of September 11th, I wanted to hear from my President, I wanted to hear George W. Bush and what he was going to do about it. I turned to him like a child turns to his father when something wrong occurs. Obviously, I was happy that George W. Bush was going to act upon this attack, unlike Bill Clinton who decided to do nothing when the World Trade Center was attacked before. George W. Bush has given us tax cuts; he went after the terrorists after the events in 9/11; and he made me and my family feel comfortable during and after the events of 9/11. George W. Bush did go to Iraq a little prematurely, in my opinion, because to this day Osama Bin Laden is still at large; however, we did destroy the Iraqi regime; Saddam Hussein is in jail. But I still question why we are still in Iraq; I don’t understand why we are still there, but I hope that someone will tell me why we’re there. One thing you can’t deny is the fact that George W. Bush stands by the decisions he bestows on us. Whether you agree with his decisions or not, George W. Bush stands behind his decisions. I’m not saying that I will vote for Bush, but after watching that speech, it reminded me of 2001, specifically September 11th, 2001. I remember that George W. Bush was our crutch; I remember every time he would speak I would listen. Whether you vote for Kerry or vote for Bush, you can’t deny the fact that Bush wasn’t really that bad of a President.
