Sept. 2, 2004 Last night, Sen. Zell Miller straight-talked his way into the hearts of America. This conservative Democrat said what many Republicans have been afraid to say, in a style that both captured and captivated all who listened to him. He told the truth about John Kerry! Zell brought up, in no uncertain terms, Kerry’s voting record and very problematic indecisiveness: “For more than 20 years, on every one of the great issues of freedom and security, John Kerry has been more wrong, more weak and more wobbly than any other national figure.” Kerry’s voting record is available, on the Net, for all who are actually willing to check it out. However, Kerry sycophants, like Chris Matthews, refuse to check it out while publicly and dishonestly attempting to attribute “no” votes to Dick Cheney that he never made. Senator Zell has a unique and incomparable way of slicing through lies. He exposed Kerry and the other leftist Dems for their attempts to characterize the United States as occupiers instead of liberators: “And nothing makes this Marine madder than someone calling American troops occupiers rather than liberators. Tell that to the one-half of Europe that was freed because Franklin Roosevelt led an army of liberators, not occupiers.” Sen. Miller enumerated John Kerry’s votes (not all of them as it would probably have taken days) AGAINST defending and protecting the United States from foreign enemies: “As a Senator, he voted to weaken our military. And nothing shows that more sadly and more clearly than his vote this year to deny protective armor for our troops in harms way, far away.” Senator Miller truthfully praised President Bush (an anomaly in this era of biased leftist- journalism) for his courage in the face of incomparable detractors and his profound leadership qualities: “I have knocked on the door of this man's soul and found someone home, a God-fearing man with a good heart and a spine of tempered steel. The man I trust to protect my most precious possession: my family.” Yes. Zell gave ‘em hell and it’s been a long time coming. Maybe some pieces of the truth will finally resound with those who have tried desperately to muzzle it. ------------ About the author: About the author: Sher Zieve is a Conservative political commentator, appeared on the CBS program "Mysteries of the Millennium", has been included in "Who's Who in the West", "Who's Who in the US" and "Who's Who in Entertainment".
