Oct. 31, 2004 You have to wonder sometimes about people I mean Travis Twitt wrote a song called Here's your sign. For example and I have to admit I got this idea from someone else but what he had to say does make sense. Those ladies that went to a storage facility in Texas where the phony doctor did PAP tests? I mean what does that say about the line of thinking there? Most women I would assume would kind of be suspicious over this one. I am very funny about doctors doing PAP tests considering one lost a test in 1996 and went off to Canada. So when you have had cancer you are going to make sure that the next tests will hopefully be performed by a professional. Then there was that poor unfortunate soul who got shot in the arm because her boyfriend took a gun and shot at a mouse and missed the mouse but hit her. I mean geez ever heard of a mousetrap. I know I have seen some mice that were pretty big but shooting it. I have to ponder did he really miss the mouse of was that an accident or what. I guess that shot that romance down. No it was not funny. Once I was waiting for a wrecker to come and put a tire on my van. During my days as a paper carrier. Now the tire was missing and the van was on a jack. Along came a couple and says to me. "You have a flat tire?" Duh, no I wanted to say GMC makes them this way now. I talk to a guy in the convienance store he says to us that he has to leave for his grandmother's funeral. His manager goes. "Oh did she die?" "No we put em in the ground alive no matter what they say. Of course she died you dolt." You go to the local Walmart store for a tune-up and you ask for a oil change and filter. Then you leave and you are shopping you hear the loudspeaker squawk out. "Mrs blah blah please return to the Automotives Center." You walk up and the guy says you need an oil change and you show him the work order where it requests an oil change so why the bother? "The mechanic just wants you to know you need your oil changed." It makes you wonder about them both just how far did Magilla get in school? Those pesky spams you know the ones where you put no I don't smoke country USA, education college/nurse. Dental needs you put false teeth. You are married you have an adult child and you are not in search of romance. You play the lottery maybe once in ahile. So forth and so on. Then you are offered a green card, cigars, toothpaste for that bright smile, a date with some wild porn queen he/she or whatever, they tell you can be a doctor online no less and they ask if you need pampers to go along with the viagra. You have a hard time answering your regular critters and friends but then you find out once again someone in your family has now died in a boating accident and left you 40 million dollars. You are told you are going to hell because women are not suppose to be preaching in churches. Never mind that it was the apostle Paul who said he would not permit a woman to preach. Not God or Jesus but him. That is until he met the maker of purple who was Priscilla. They attributed this to the fact that Adam was created first so the logic is not even Christian. Considering who preaches in a church where they are no men? I have heard pastors preach some fine sermons but some of the best have been preached by women. I reckon I am going to hear about this one but you know what? The men ran off and hide when Jesus was crucified and it was the women that went to his tomb. It was the women with John who stood at the foot or the cross and it was the women who he appeared to first. The women followed him. Paul had problems with women in that he was not much to look at so he had a thing against women. But it was Paul who after meeting Priscilla said this that Eve was created from Adam's rib to be his companion and was not to made to rule over him or to be under his foot. So even Paul learned. And for the most part who do you think taught the men who are preachers. Probably women. Where is the sign if you have to ask for one then maybe you do need it. Just some of my regular thoughts.
