Oct. 31, 2004 After the discrediting of its planned Bush hit piece on 380 tons of missing explosives, CBS has been scrambling to find something to use against the president and to help John Kerry. Tonight, 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft plans an ‘expose’ on the Pentagon not providing enough fully-armored vehicles to protect our troops. The 60 Minutes website advises “our soldiers are still getting killed and wounded”. Good grief! Do any of these people realize that, no matter how tragic soldier deaths are, this is war? Our homegrown liberals always seem to be shocked by the fact that people die in wars. They, also, conveniently forget that John Kerry voted against funding protective gear for our troops. According to our leftist media, John Kerry is never responsible for anything he does, doesn’t do, says or doesn’t say. The US leftist press (for that matter worldwide) gives Kerry ‘immunity’ for everything. Now, totally and irrevocably blinded to anything resembling truth, the leftist mainstream press pushes ever forward in its stumping for Kerry. In these last few hours before our presidential election, we can probably expect more last ditch blasts against President Bush from our biased, tainted and exceedingly unethical press. Considering Rathergate and the latest NY Times lunacies, I won’t be surprised if on Monday night or Tuesday morning the NY Times (or one of our other leftist publications) comes up with and prints some other inane Bush-discrediting tale. To illustrate how far down the rabbit hole our leftist press has descended, the once- revered Walter Cronkite has now floated the theory (much like Howard Dean?) that the Bush campaign’s Karl Rove is behind the Osama bin- Laden tape! This was an insane comment from a once-sane individual and clearly indicates where leftist thinking inevitably leads…to insanity. Our choice is unmistakably between the lunatic- left John Kerry or the sanity and steady leadership of President Bush.
