Oct. 29, 2004 So Osama Bin Laden is still alive - and he's finally made it to a video camera. I'm suprised. I thought he was under a pile of rocks in Tora Bora. Very interesting that he should choose just this moment to re-appear. It has to be related to the Presidential election, but why would Bin Laden do something that was so obviously anti- Bush? Like Kerry or not, you have to believe that he will be more effective at uniting the world against Osama Bin Laden and his friends. And he will probably be more focussed on getting out of Iraq quicker. Neither of those things are good for Bin Laden. On the other hand, his appearance may frighten those who were just beginning to realise that the current administration has made a massive error in Iraq. And frighten them right back into the Bush fold, where they can seek security under a 'war president' who does not make mistakes. I just don't know where to put my money - on whether Bin Laden's re-appearance is good for Bush, or bad for him. We'll see in a few days, no doubt. In the meantime, I wonder where Osama Bin Laden actually is? I think we can all guess where is definitely isn't. ------------ About the author: Eric lives in tropical Queensland and writes books - some naughty, some nice - that can be found through Renaissance eBooks (renebooks.com) He reads widely and when he is not thinking about lunch, worries about the state of the world.
