Will America Let The Terrorists Win By Electing John Kerry?

By Craig Chamberlain
Oct. 29, 2004

I don't know whether to be hopeful, or whether to wonder whether this country has lost its mind. In 4 days we will have a monumental choice to make. Do we stay the course or do we cut and run?

On the one hand every time America has had a choice like this we have made the right one, 1984, 1972, 1864 and so on. Will America win and reelect George W. Bush, or will the terrorists of Fallujah win and we elect John Kerry? Now before someone accusses me of being grossly unfair to the senator I say this: his protestations about not cutting and running sound insincere because he says it so often. Like he is desperately trying to convince us that there won't be celebrations in the streets of Fallujah, or joy among the dictatorships of the middle east.

I think his tough rhetoric is for the voters, he says it with a wink and a nod, his supporters know he doesn't mean it, Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder knows he doesn't mean it, and most importantly the medieval beheaders in Iraq knows he doesn't mean it.

The terrorists, unable to win on the battlefield, have to win politically. They can't allow a consenual democratic government, like what happened in Afghanistan. A few thousand murderers, terrorists, and fanatics, must fight to thwart the millions of Iraqis who want to have freedom, and not be threatened by 8th century theocrats. It all depends on what we do. Do we cooperate with the terrorists, and say enough?

Kerry and the democrats would like to go back to the 1990's, the Seinfeld decade, it was about nothing. We would treat terrorism as a nusiance, a criminal problem along the lines of prostitution and drug running. Drag the Zarqawais of the world in front of the judge, instead of hitting him and his type with hellfire missles.

For those who will vote for Kerry and think about demostic issues I ask: Why? If our nation is at war and our people and our way of life threatened by animals that pine for a dark age facism, what difference does the GDP make? (Incidentally the economy grew by 3.7% this quarter)the unemployment is down to 5.4% lower than clintons in 1996. Kerry has no real plan on foreign policy and really can't work his voodoo on the econonmy.

Most of our elections have not been this big of a deal, and we need to make the right choice. Kerry is not a leader, and the terrorists dream come true.
