Oct. 28, 2004 Every true Christian needs to take a few minutes out and look at the candidates they are voting for. It is absurd to vote based on political party affiliation only, it is like becoming a Catholic or Baptist became my parents were: become one because you’ve check things out and Christ is calling you. I’m an adult, and a Christian, and will need to think as one: an adult and Christian votes according to their maturity and the Christian Doctrine (it is truly what the person is) that is how I will vote. What are Christian values? Is the question: 1) Abortion is not a Christian value, like it or not, it does not give credence to the biblical outlook; the church is against it (all true Christian Churches area, without exception), and you should be. The unborn child is not a convenience, it’s a life. If your party is for it, you should vote against that party. 2) Homosexual marriage is not a Christian value, no matter who recognizes it on earth; God doesn’t, unless you have modified your bible to make it say so. Nor is any church for it, except if the clergy is homosexual (then he’s not a Christian in the first place, and I recommend you hightail it out of that church). 3) Stem Cell research is not a Christian value, no matter what they say on TV (superman, or his following), or any movie star that seems to think so, like the goofball: Brad Pitt, who is running around the country trying to tell everyone the great outcome of killing future human beings, that Stem Cell research will bring (now that I think of it, he did a terrible job in ‘Troy’ and the writes messed it all up). He’s a pretty boy and will tempt a lot of young girls to vote his way, but pretty boys have black hearts just like ugly boys have good hearts; vote the Christian vote. Now some folks are saying: both candidates are a bunch of liars and goofballs, losers. And sometimes in the past I haven’t voted because of that, but this time our votes are vital, we cannot sit back and not vote, the whole world is watching this election. If this happens, I suggest you select the one that possibly could be open to compromise. We do not have perfect candidates, and never will, and sometimes it is just out right crap-people going for the high offices. But who every has promoted the most good by their records would be a good candidate to choose, limit the evil. ------------ About the author: Mr. Siluk is a world traveler, a lover of the mysteries around the world, and has visit many World Heritage Sites, the most recent being Easter Island and the Galapagos.
