United Nations Part 38; [No Blood In The Face]

By Dennis L. Siluk

An old saying from Peru, “You got no blood in the face,” you got no shame.

Financial Times, Columnist

I knew they were pro Kerry, biased and so on, but just recently have they really turned the juice on. It’s hard to read their paper without it reeking with anti this Bush or that. I might just as well buy a poster and re-read it. I used to buy their paper, now I just read it free at Barns and Noble, not for information per se, just to smell the reeking. The worse of the lot is Paul Kennedy, if he has blood in his face, I’ll eat my shoe, no, and he has no shame. He talks about the United Nations and implies we need to give it a rest, time to readjust.

The UN-has a Charter, we need, and it will come about, to modify the Charter and its Articles—sorry, they are amendments, forgot. Anyhow, this is a leftover item from l944-45, when the veto power was given to the five main countries that held the world power, The United States, Russia, China, France and England. We have a General Assembly also [with no real power—191-members], and to change an amendment in the Charter it takes 2/3’s votes of the Assembly, and all the votes of the five permanent members of the Security Counsel. Like everything, in time, things do change, and are in the process right now of changing. That is why Paul Kennedy says not to criticize the UN; let them have time to change. Well they had 60-years to change Paul, criticizing is what is making them change.

Some folks wonder how Clinton can become Security-General, change the Charter, and modify an amendment; not possible, watch it happen. How did President Bush become President? For the people by the people, or by the Supreme Court? A little modification there ha? Another example is: how can the Governor of California become President, because he is thinking of it, and even though he is a US citizen now, and is over thirty-five, and has lived in America for ten-years, he was not born here (a requirement to my knowledge). So how can this be? Modify an amendment, like we did with prohibition: simple as baking a pie.

War and Terrorism

When I look at the wars going on, especially with the Islamic Arabs, I can’t figure how they do not have any shame on their faces, they are a true candidate for this titled article.

I read a lot into history, like Alexander the Great, and Hannibal, and Tamerlane, all the old and great conquerors of past eons. They took what they wanted and felt no need for justification, even Gilgamish of Sumer [old Iraq]. They had in their heads, this was a right to be a conqueror, and like all wars and conquerors, blood and pain and agony prevailed. But one thing they were not, they were not oppressors to the conquered lands, nor did they leave behind an inheritance of us vs. them (Gilgamesh even helped build a city he conquered). Not like our so called would be conquerors today: Syria for one, Saddam for another, Castro for another, the PLO, and al-Queda; China and Tibetan lands; Afghanistan’s old and now past rulership, the Taliban: no shame for these so called ugly-warriors. Even the Syrians at one time were a great power with pride, now they are nothing but a coward-terrorist gang, hiding behind sand dunes.

Nor did the old warriors think like them, it would be anachronistic; nor did they place them into the sub-human group; as we do with the populations we want to destroy: Bosnia, Kosovo, and now Sudan, a few other countries in Africa with their insurgents killing civilians to have someone to kill, just anachronistic evil. No blood in the face of these less than warriors, how about maggots with no blood in the face. That is why they do not want to modify the terrorism bill at the UN; they want to use terror, no shame for the Islam.
