Oct. 26, 2004 Today (26, OCT) Marks 30 Years of Marriage to the Mother of my Children and the Wife of my Lifetime. I Felt Poetic Today. I am glad I cannot see The inside of this cup I have no clue The last time it was cleaned But the coffee is hot With its intensely fresh smell Oh how someone can make coffee With such heavenly odor I understand the color black Is like not having sight So it isn’t so hard To know color while blind Perhaps one color is enough This coffee is good A flavor most colorful The color I understand Breakfast is my time of day Though all times each day seem the same I know there are differences I sense the troubles of those near me I avoid their pity like I avoid liver Liver and pity smell the same I would call it an ugly smell If I knew what ugly was How satisfied can I be today Do I care that sight separates me From those who fall in love with beauty I wouldn’t know beauty except by smell Now there are things to love by smell Fresh rolls, Spring walks, hot coffee Flower shops, new mowed grass, shampooed hair You don’t need to see too find something to love. Sometimes you have to be blind to see. ------------ About the Author: Michael John McCrae is an Independent, Conservative, Christian who has been personally insulted as a voter because John Kerry thinks the "Heart and Soul of America" lays in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. Well, Michael McCrae thinks America is better than that. Michael McCrae believes there is at least some morality left. So Michael McCrae is going to leave this here (until after the election) as a reminder to all of what John Kerry and John Edwards believe the Real America to be. They believe America's "heart and soul" resides in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. You can draw your own conclusions.
