Value And Broken Mirrors

By Rachelle Ann Ramos
Oct. 25, 2004

It’s sad that it takes a person to hurt themselves, or attempt a suicide to accept the full value of life. Unfortunately many people try suicide or harsh actions because life’s tough. It’s unimaginable what things people go through; people face so many things that can end up in such chaos and disaster. People deal with these things in such impossible ways and the results usually end up not only hurt that individual but even those who know that person. And don’t ever think that no one will care if you are gone, because to those who are even reading this your life has some value you to me, anyone’s life has value to someone else. Life’s meant to be challenging because you need to be strong and live life no matter what life throws at you it doesn‘t matter if doctors have given you only a few months to live, if people leave or even die live you life because it has value. You just don’t have to put a price on it.

Broken Mirrors

Shattered upon the floor
Footprints blood
Staggering to the kitchen door
My life draining away

Pieces, slivers, all around
With the smudges of scarlet
I open my mouth but to no sound
My blank eyes staring open

Blood pounding in my ears rushing
The feel of my lungs collapsing
Weight of my breasts crushing
Blood rushing to my ears

Feeling it pound ragged echoes
The broken pieces scattered about
Reflecting the girl who knows
That it wasn’t worth it
