Oct. 23, 2004 After John Kerry’s band of barristers tried, unsuccessfully, to ban the book “Unfit For Command”, it has now turned unrelentingly to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group; to stop the airing of the anti-Kerry film “Stolen Honor: Wounds That Won’t Heal”. Although President Bush’s campaign never attempted to ban the pretend documentary and decidedly Bush-bash piece “Fahrenheit 9/11”, the Kerry campaign has stated loudly and clearly that it refuses to allow dissenting and differing opinions toward its candidate. Despite the fact that the Sinclair Broadcasting Group invited John Kerry to be a part of the film’s airing and to offer his contrarian comments about the film, Mr. Kerry refused. Apparently, Mr. Kerry has also refused to send one of his representatives. The John Kerry message is now very strong. Under a Kerry administration NO disagreement to his administration or policies will be allowed. Kerry campaign surrogate, Chad Clanton, already threatened members of Sinclair Broadcasting when he told them “[they] better hope we don’t win!” With the FEC’s refusal to stop the airing of Stolen Honor, John Kerry’s lawyers are now moving in other directions in their attempts to stop it. Personally, I find these Kerry tactics extremely interesting. The Dan Rather and CBS fiasco of using forged documents to malign President Bush’s military record was brought to the forefront of the American people; only to have been swept under the rug by the leftist mainstream press Kerry supporters. The 8 October memo story written by ABC News’ Political Director Mark Halperin (in which he advises his producers and reporters to hold President Bush “more accountable” for his statements that they should Mr. Kerry) has also been relegated to the dungeons of the mainstream leftist rags. However, anything and everything negative about Kerry (irrespective of its accuracy and truthfulness) will be squashed, suppressed and sent (apparently along with the truthsayers) to the Siberian bowels of a proposed Kerry prison planet. Other alternative media reporters have called Kerry’s plan an attempt to create a banana republic of the United States. Although this may be accurate, I view it as being much more dire. The strategies and tactics Mr. Kerry and his minions are already employing, smack unmistakably of the philosophies and actions of Joseph Stalin. Stalin not only destroyed the soul of a country but, the souls of its people. The soul of the United States of America will not survive a John Kerry presidency. ------------ About the author: About the author: Sher Zieve is a Conservative political commentator.
