Oct. 20, 2004 Graduating from High School, is so much more than getting out of school. It is a key to unlock all the doors of the opportunities in life. You didn't just use the door that was already opened for you. You saw there were other doors and opened them right up. Didn't just peek in to see what was in there, you walked right in fearlessly, courageous. There were doors to open all throughout the years you atteneded school. Doors and doors that you opened and walked right in, while the others just sat behind and watched, as you walked through. Now look at them and look at you. They're still in the first door that was left opened for them. You'll go far in life with this fearless courage you have. You've left not only those that walked in the first door with you, there are some nearly three times your age, that you, Little Buddy, have surpassed and have more than they will ever dream. Those keys that you possess, are yours and only yours. They fit each door only once. No duplicate keys will there ever be, to give to others, to get through all those doors that you have walked through. This shows us all how far you will go. Don't stop because someone else wants you to. You go through as many doors, as you desire. Doors of your dreams and your goals. Don't give those up for selfish words from others. You dream and strive, towards all your goals, for you will achieve and reach all your goals, with that fearless courage you have. Keep each of those keys, safely tucked away. You may show them to others and share the stories of how they all came to be yours. You may help others that are curiously frightened, to open a door for themselves, in your life. Go far and high, as you feel the need, allowing the desire in you to fly free and high above all. Be proud of yourself and know that you have done well. Don't be discouraged, from others around that not share your pride. For self pride cannot ever be matched, by the words of others spoken. Don't let their reactions discourage you either, because all too often, people really have no idea how to react, and will not react in the ways that you would, and hoped that they would, because they themselves have never been in the places you walk and stand in your shoes. Remember this always, that You, Little Buddy, are the one, in your life, to be proud of yourself. And if you ever feel alone, like You are the only one proud of you, remember that others are just as proud as they can be of you, although you don't hear it or see it from them, They are Proud and Envious of YOU!!! Never stop opening those doors that you see and feel the need to open with your key. This was the graduation card that I gave to my oldest neice, My Little Buddy, that graduated with high honors a year early even with a trying difficult time that came along. She now, just a few months after this wonderful achievement has caught and gone after her dream and goal in life. I no longer call her my Little Buddy, but now, Mary Poppins. She loves children as much as I love the critters and is now a Nanny. Her dream, her goal achieved. I'm Proud as can be of you Little Mary Poppins!!! But too, I have to tell you that I owe my parents a world of thanks here too. See it's all the nagging and being the lecturing meanies, teaching us how to use the tools and the silly little cliches and handy bits of useless information and the one I seem to remember and use I think the Most is ,"You'll Never know if you don't try" and as my brother rephrashed it for me once, "Take a chance, Columbus did." that they taught my brother, sister and myself, that we carried on to our children and look -- Look what they my parents have taught and how many of us have learned from them. Thanks Mom and Dad!!! And to my sister and her husband there and to my brother and his wife who aren't too far from this point of their children getting to this stage of their lives, You've all done a Fantastic Job and I am Very Proud to call you my Family. And Little Buddy, Mary Poppins, I wish for you that this dream come true for you is better than you ever visioned it would be. I'm Proud of you. I'm Proud of all of you!!! And I Love You, Very Much So. God Bless The World! ------------ About the author Tracey Lin O'Very: I write from my heart as the words are given to me. He lives in our hearts and helps me, through my writings. Although I think that I am writing for others, quite often it is written for me, to help me and get me through the times of my life. Not all are saddened times and some things are really quite fun. The majority of my writings have messages in them of an awareness that needs to be seen and practiced more often in today's times by more of today's people of this modern society.
