Oct. 18, 2004 Evidently the Democrats have stirred up enough fear and trepridation since the last presidential election. There are several states allowing early voting. It isn't right. There are four years to prepare ballots and register voters to get everyone who will be able to vote in and out of the polls. That includes absentee ballots. This gives the Democrats plenty of time to go to nursing homes and graveyards and sign up voters and still get back in time to pay someone to vote for the new voters. This gives Dandy Dan Rather plenty of fodder to skew everything to his purpose before November 2 is over. He caused enough problems the last time and did he get any grief over it? NOOOOOOO!! Now there was a report about someplace, I think Ohio, where some guy got paid in crack cocaine to sign up voters by the NAACP (or was that the ACLU?). There's been a lot of stories about voter fraud this year and nothing done. Now, I'll bet you dollars to donuts the Democrats are going to use the early voting to their advantage. The only thing they haven't done is shuttle Jolly John Kerry around to all the polling places and help voters punch all the right buttons. By the way, have you noticed the only places to report problems is Florida? Gee, someone said the voting machines there were fool proof. I have friends and relatives in Florida. I hope they can vote without problems. I guess with all the hurricanes and all we shouldn't be surprised. I don't think the states to allow early voting should let anyone who voted talk to the media before polls close on 2 November. Otherwise, I think the votes should be disqualified.Of course the Democrats see nothing wrong with this and show no remorse, or shame. I guess to do that you have to have morals. A lot of those people don't know what morals are. Hey, guys...it involves a conscience. That's the little part of your mind, and in a LIBERAL mind very little, which tells you right from wrong. Of course with Democrats there is no right, or wrong. There just is. The only thing to do I guess is lock Dan Rather and company in a room with no access to broadcast equipment until November 3rd. Of course that would be like cutting anyone off from their air supply, or water. Some of them may die and as much as it goes against my conscience that's a risk I'm willing to take. This time I just hope they count absentee votes from overseas, including the military. ------------ About the author: Lee Zelhart is a proud graduate of McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois and the father of two teens (one of which will be getting married in the next couple of years, maybe sometime in 2006) and the author of The Ghost of the Cavalier due out in 2005.
