Ted Koppel Makes Me Sick [Asking Viet Cong About John Kerry]

By Lee Zelhart
Oct. 15, 2004

Ted Koppel makes me sick. He was trying to interview someone the other night who contends John Kerry isn't what he claims as far as Viet Nam. However, he wouldn't let the man have his say. Mr. Koppel instead tried to force his opinions down the gentleman's throat.

Teddy evidently contacted former Viet Cong who see John Kerry as a hero in their war museum. The ABC news team went into Viet Nam and interviewed people there who were being observed at all times by a government representative. Viet Nam isn't a free country, Ted. Okay?

I remember Ted Koppel from personal experience. He spoke at St. Louis University the spring of 1992. My sister-in-law was receiving a degree in Physical Therapy. For a full hour he ragged on how the first President Bush treated the press during Desert Storm. Nothing about graduating, going out into the wide world, making a name for yourself, making a mark. Nothing connected to the reason why he was there.

I remember after when we met with my sister-in-law and her husband after we were all gathered around eating cake at her graduation party and saying...What the heck was that all about. We were all very upset, especially her, she had worked to get a degree and Ted Koppel wanted to bellyache?

Yes, Ted, bellyache. You ruined at least one person's graduation. For the whole family! Gee, get a life Koppel! I mean if the whole class were Journalism grads, yeah. However, it wasn't. It was a mixed bag and you stole the money you were paid for that gig, as far as I'm concerned. What should I expect though? You belong to the same Fraternity as Dandy Dan Rather. The Loyal Order of We Don't Care About Truth as Long as We Advance Our Agenda Brotherhood.

This is why I can no longer watch ABC news late at night. It's normally not long after I've eaten a meal and watching Ted Koppel turns my stomach and gives me indigestion. Semper Fi!
