The Democrats Are Already Preparing Pre-emptive Lawsuits

I have been thinking of myself as a Wild Weasel, one of those fighter-bombers equipped with radiation-seeking missiles, and whenever something strikes my sensors I just fire off a H.A.R.M. and see where the heck it goes.

Several things picked up on the electromagnetic radiation detectors recently include:

1) The DNC has instructed its folks to file complaints about voter harassment even when no such harassment exists.

2) Jesse Jackson is complaining about black voter intimidation when no evidence exists that it occurred in Florida or elsewhere.

3) A disgruntled worker, fired for poor performance, is complaining that he found suspiciously altered voter registration forms in a trash can.

4) Some Democratic mayors and voter registration organizations are registering MORE VOTERS THAN THE CENSUS SAYS LIVE IN THE CITIES AND DISTRICTS.

5) The polls have shown a narrowing of the Bush lead.

So what target does the H.A.R.M missile strike?

Just wild-eyed speculation, of course, of course, a horse is a horse, of course, of course...sorry, I drifted into Mr. Ed for a moment.

Could it be that the Bush lead has not closed, that it is just being camouflaged? To those who say that reputable polling organizations would not risk their reputation by fudging facts, I have a two-word reply: Dan Rather. Could it be that the disgruntled worker was a Democratic plant all along? Could the Democratic voter registration people be deliberately creating appearances of election fraud?

So, on election day, when Bush wins by a handy margin, the Democrats are already preparing the groundwork for filing lawsuits claiming election fraud. "The polls showed a very close race. If Bush won by such a landslide, Republicans must have cheated!" I can hear it now.

Could it be? Yes it could!
