Oct. 7, 2004 When Judy Ramsook told me to try Publishamerica out concerning my unpublished books, I thought my prayer were answered at last. Immediately, I contacted them and told them concerning my mission and passion. They replied me and told me that at present, they don't have a marketing channel in my country as such, they can't publish my books for now until they have a channel. It was a day to my birthday precisely on 7th of October. I was so devastated and annoyed that I could not say anything except the only question that kept coming to my mind. WHY NOT NIGERIA? To be frank with you readers, anytime I tried something out on the internet, the only responses I normally get from people or organisations is a simple NO anytime they know I'm a Nigerian. Please readers, is it a crime to belong to this part of earth, is it a crime to come from a country where the leaders are visionless and ruthless, or why should I be the victim of my country's bad name? What most people don't understand is that "a race is a race while a man is a man" they are two things that operate in the parrallel. My country is not as bad as what people think outside. Every race on earth has people that spoil her image. We are all a product of God's artistic design and nobody can question God on why he/she is in a particular race. I will appreciate anybody that can tell me why NIGERIA is a country of rejection. Please readers, I need to know why the poor masses are suffering for what our leaders did. The main question today is very simple and a reply will be appreciated. WHAT IS MY COUNTRY'S OFFENCE? I NEED TO KNOW. ------------ About the author Olamide Ayeni: A 21 year old female.
