Oct. 7, 2004 After watching the Presidential and Vice-Presidential debate, it seems that Dick Cheney and George W. Bush are a lost for words. Bush seemed to be frustrated with Kerry, while Kerry was nodding and keeping his cool. What does Bush have to be so angry about? Is he hiding something? I’m not saying John Kerry is any better, I still can’t fathom his “flip-flop’s”, but still it seems that Bush dropped the ball at the debate. I wonder if Bush will counter Kerry in the next debate? Dick Cheney also was a lost for words. It was clear he LIED with a capital L to the public about how he said that he never made any statement that regarded Iraq connected with 9/11 or the Taliban. However, NBC played the show, “Meet the Press” where he DID say that as if it was true fact. It seems the powers that be have been dealt a giant pile of hypocrisy, but what does this say about their decisions? Was it right to go to Iraq? Yes and no, yes we should have went to Iraq 13 years ago, but instead we didn’t finish the job. Now, I hear that Saddam ended his weapons development during the Gulf War. Personally, I don’t know if I should choose to believe that or not. I’m not sure who I’m going to vote for really, I don’t support either side really, but the debates have really made me think about where this country has been and where it is going. Only time will tell which candidate I will choose as my President, but I have a bad feeling that either way I choose nothing will ever change. ------------ About the author Eric Schomburg: Visit http://www.geocities.com/schomburg2002.
