Oct. 6, 2004 Alright, so other than the steady flow of encouraging and sometimes discouraging emails that enter my email box when I write an article here, my writing career is not really taking off. After a quick chat with some of the local newspaper editors' answering machines and an email from one of the owners himself, I found that they require a college degree. I don't have one, and I don't see myself getting one in the future anytime soon. I should try for that GED thing first. But, maybe you all would understand, have you ever just had this passion about something? Something you wanted to do and knew you can do but no one would give you a chance? That's how I feel about writing. I will do it. I just don't know quite how or when. I won't give up though. I can't it's not in me to give up on this. I gave up on pretty much everything else, even high school, but not this. This is my passion, this is what I was born to do. I'm sorry I could not offer a more exciting column this time around, I just needed to get this particular thing off my chest and who better to understand than a group of writers? Thanks for taking your time to read this. ------------ About the author L.J. Chapman: I am a 24 year old mother of two. I am getting married June 4, 2005 to my fiance', Josh.
