Nov. 6, 2004 We have seen an election in which the Republican incumbent has beaten the Democratic challenger decisively, by over 3.5 million votes, despite having to overcome a left-leaning press and an unpopular military action in Iraq. Commentators have declared that the country is now bitterly divided. Anna Quindlen, liberal columnist, said that the election revealed “an electorate deeply, almost mortally divided, a civil war without a Mason-Dixon line.” Yet George W. Bush received more votes than any Presidential candidate in history, won by a Reaganesque margin and handily took the Electoral College vote. There are no “hanging chads” in this election. Liberals don’t want to admit that the election was decisive. DEMOCRATS HATE DEMOCRACY so they find ways to STEAL POWER from the people. Liberals have trouble with the concept of “majority rules” and in fact they have difficulty with the concept of democracy. The United States is a republic, we have representative democracy in which those elected by us hopefully represent our will in voting into law those statues that a majority of us support. The nation was designed to have an Executive branch that leads the nation, a Legislative branch that enacts law and a Judicial branch that ensures that the laws do not breach our Constitution. One reason that there is division in the country is that the liberal element succeeded in packing the courts with left-wing judges, activist judges, who have taken the law from the hands of the people and made the law themselves. Examples: MARRIAGE: An activist Massachusetts court demanded that so-called “gay marriage” would be legal in that state. Certainly the people of Massachusetts had not supported such a law. But it was what the liberals wanted. In this national election, this backfired on them as in eleven states a measure was placed on the ballot that put the idea of gay marriage to a vote. In all eleven states, the concept of gay marriage was resoundingly defeated and as people turned out to vote on this measure in Ohio, they tended to also vote for the President, helping him to a decisive win in that crucial state. ABORTION: It was a decision by the Supreme Court that made abortion legal in this country, another decision against the will of the people. Abortion had been made illegal or strictly controlled by the will of the people in various states but a handful of liberals made the decision. Even after the ban on partial-birth abortion was passed into law, the courts immediately moved to keep the bill from being acted upon. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE: There is no such provision in the Constitution. Yet courts have begun making rulings banning crèche scenes during the Christmas season, removing the Ten Commandments from a courthouse, taking prayer out of public schools and so on. The ACLU and the activist courts have combined to try to separate all traces of religion from public view, which is by no means what the Founding Fathers intended. The liberals have so much trouble with the idea of majority rules, some of them threatened to leave the country should a Republican be elected. Hey, Robert Redford, don’t let the border hit you on the butt on the way out of the country! The Democratic Underground, a website, held a poll right after the election asking “What is more depressing . . 9/11/01 or 11/3/04?” At last look, the vote was 73% for 11/3/2004 versus 27% for 9/11/2001. Are you kidding me? Hard core liberals think that Kerry losing the election is worse than thousands of people being murdered as the Twin Towers collapsed? Is being a Democrat becoming synonymous with being sub-human? DEMOCRATS TWIST WORDS AND PHRASES beyond recognition A popular liberal phrase now is to call themselves the “reality-based community” as if the majority of us live in the Land of Oz and only they, in their wisdom, understand reality. They are the ones who seek to bend and twist reality, often using words to do so. Here are a few examples: CHOICE. Liberals are pro-abortion. But they don’t like the word abortion, because it conjures up images of a baby’s life being aborted, in other words, killed or murdered. Nope, liberals hate that image, and so they have taken a perfectly good word, choice, and made it into a buzzword by creating the label “pro-choice.” The long version of that is “a woman’s right to choose.” No. Choice ought to be whether you take the red one or the yellow one, whether you want dark meat or light meat, whether you want this job or that job. “Choice” is not a suitable substitute for murder. Liberals, you can be pro-abortion or anti-life. I’ll be pro-life or anti-abortion. Choice doesn’t belong here. Oh, by the way, now in Afghanistan women have gotten the right to choose between political candidates and vote. You hated us going into Afghanistan and you hated us going into Iraq. Women have been freed to get an education, take off their burkhas and vote in Afghanistan but you never supported that. I wonder which version of “choice” is better? PROGRESSIVE. Liberals like to call themselves “progressives” in order to paint conservatives as staid, old, stupid, ignorant, against progress. Yes, a progressive should be for progress. The trouble is, it is the conservatives who are for progress, seeking to improve the educational system, the tax system, spread freedom abroad and so on. What is the progress that the “progressives” seek to bring about? Socialism, secularism, humanism, communism, atheism….the kinds of ideas that bring about totalitarian states and take away individual freedoms, these are the basis for their “progressive” ideas. Remember how well a humanistic, atheistic, socialist/communist state worked in Russia, in East Germany, etc? GAY. Liberals take delight in embracing the homosexual community and have popularized the word “gay” as a codeword for homosexual. Webster’s Dictionary gives the definition of the word as “adj 1: bright and pleasant; promoting a feeling of cheer; "a cheery hello"; "a gay sunny room"; "a sunny smile" [syn: cheery, sunny] 2: full of or showing high-spirited merriment…” But it also sadly notes that the new definition is for a homosexual, especially a male. The root word is Old English meaning “lighthearted, brightly colored.” The liberals have popularized the word for a population that has a higher incidence of domestic violence than their heterosexual counterparts and also a higher incidence of STDs. So being more likely to be beat up by your partner or perhaps dying of AIDS is gay? THE DEMOCRATS ARE THE DIVIDERS Democrats are the dividers by sneaking their agendas into law past the will of the people. Naturally, the majority is annoyed by this and thus the record vote totals in the GW Bush column this year. President Bush was vulnerable because the Iraq war is not universally popular, the deficit is up and the economy had not recovered from the recession of 2000-2001. He was vulnerable because of the Democrat’s vast and amazing popularity in the Black community. Yet the platform of the Democratic Party is made less palatable by the methods of the liberals in the real world. The people were under the impression that they were entitled to have a say in what America is and does rather than letting a liberal aristocracy make the decisions for them. If we listen carefully to what the liberals are saying RIGHT NOW, while they are licking their wounds and not being careful to measure their words, they are telling us that we, the people, are stupid and not capable of making decisions for ourselves. I don’t even have to quote from the article in Slate by Jane Smiley entitled “Why Americans Hate Democrats—A Dialogue. The unteachable ignorance of the red states.” Go see for yourself. Columnist James Wolcott wrote: "Good, Go Ahead, America, Choke on Your Own Vomit, You Deserve to Die." Liberal blogger TBogg said “I look at the big map and all of the red in flyover country and I feel like I've been locked in a room with the slow learners. We have become the country that pulls a dry cleaning bag over its head to play astronaut.” Liberals look at the map of the USA and call the red states “Jesusland” or the home of the “Illiterate, ignorant farmers” who aren’t smart enough to know how to vote. The majority voted Republican and Manuel Valenzuela of Information Clearinghouse blames “…the Republican leadership, those evildoers extraordinaire, exploiters of fear and insecurity, usurpers of patriotism, pilferers of freedoms and rights, enemies of free speech and assembly, those hypocrites espousing the cross yet holding the gun, preaching poverty yet seeking wealth, espousing compassion yet controlled by greed, praising Jesus while emulating Lucifer, warmongers and sadists, unscrupulous deceivers of truth and compulsive liars of fiction, the party of corporate elites, government oligarchs and fascist corporatists, that are best at delving inside the human mind, using, abusing and exploiting unenlightened and conservative environments of the rural and isolated persuasion, spawning the insecurities of ignorant, homophobic, xenophobic and macho WASP males cocooned in blind red, white and blue patriotism, and instilling the fear of the Almighty onto millions of bible-thumping, Armageddon-seeking, Confederate-clinging followers of false present-day prophets and believers of primitive fairy tales. “ THE DEMOCRATS FEAR AND DISLIKE THE PEOPLE Gee, I guess liberals believe that the electorate are stupid, ignorant folks truly unworthy of governing ourselves. We had better be careful not to elect them to public office, since they govern with these beliefs at their core. They can label me a “…bible-thumping, Armageddon-seeking, Confederate-clinging follower of false present-day prophets and believer of primitive fairy tales. “ but I consider myself a citizen. Guess what, liberal politicians? I am also a voter. I use that right whenever I can. I am going to vote for the people who are most likely to reflect my beliefs and interests when they make decisions or sit down to craft bills or vote on legislation. I don’t want or need you to do my thinking for me. I want you to REPRESENT ME and if that is too hard for you, go into another line of work. Or take a clue from the flock of Hollywood types who are supposedly going to leave the USA since the vote didn’t go their way. Oh, and take Michael Moore with you, will ya?
