Nov. 4, 2004 I wonder why The USA is called a Peaceful Nation, All I see and hear about and hear are the fighting words of others, friends, neighbors, co workers, family. Families murdering their own spouses, parents and children. Drive by shootings, name calling, threats, road rage and all the other things I see, read and hear. Peaceful Nation? I wonder why people from other countries are so desperate to come here at the risk of their lives getting here. Willling to die trying to come into this country. Well one reason may be that the USA gives them welfare, social security, and all the other benefits offered whether it is "rightfully" theirs or worked for, earned or not. Gee! isnt America Grand? Yeah sure is to the outsiders, the 3rd world countries. Gee! come and attack our homeland we'll go over there and rebuild and modernize your country for you. Start a war among yourselves the US will step in and modernize your land at the US Citizen's expense. Gee! Isn't the USA Grand? The big Ameerican companies that the US citizen's built and made the giants that they are today will come over there and give the foreigners the jobs as a "cost efficient" way as they use as their reasons when questioned about it. The foreign countries that have our jobs now don't need to know any thing more than the little speeches written for them to learn. "Here's a few replies to send out when the American customers have a question or complaint or need some good old fashioned customer service so pick and choose one, to send them. Hopefully it will satisfy them. If not oh well, we're a giant company, just call them on the telephone and start screaming, threatening and making demands on them. We don't honor any of the agreements that we have made with those who built our company anyway." Isn't that right Ma Bell?? Peaceful Nation? Sets a great example for the rest of the world as the US citizen's fight among themselves. The world has got to be laughing at us. Just roaring on the floor at the fools that are around. Over taxation and spreading themselves too thin is how all the great empires have fallen throughout history. Pretty scarey I'll tell you, to watch as this country, the USA does just that. How long will it take till we are the fallen great empire? Pretty scarey to think about and watch. It's so hard to find a sincere and honest person or company in this world today. All after the wad in their pocket and really don't care too much how they get it. To strive for the top is one thing but it is supposed to be a personal self esteem, self assurance and self confidence thing that is supposed to be within the individual, not using others to get to the top. Stealing what ever it takes to get there, to make a name for one's self. Shoot it's not only the wad in the pocket it's gotten to the point where they will steal the words, the thoughts the personal emotions and trials and hardships that another has gone through and survived it all, and writes down, and tries to share with others. Now, surviving, That is self esteem, self pride and worth. That is climbing to the top there. Just surviving the hardest times that have come into your life and have something seemingly good come as a reward for your strength and courage and faith to get through it. But there always has to be those that are so obssessed with getting places and the wad, that don't have the talents and gifts of others that they will steal anothers, and then threaten and call names if you dare say a word. I have to wonder too how can one steal their own emotions, thoughts and words from another? Now that too is amazing to me. To steal from yourself, now that's Talent!!-- sarcastic remark there. That's silly to think that one is stealing their own things. Just silly. I've been conned so many times with the words of glamour and empty promises, trying so hard to believe and trust in others. I hate not being able to trust another's word as my word is my word, If I give it to one I will keep it till I die. What is a person if their word has no worth? Not too good in my eyes. The fighting the stealing, the threats, the killing within the boundries of this country is scarey. Very scarey. And we all have the answers to all the worldly problems but what can we really do about it? We can't really change it. The only thing we can really change is ourself. What do you really want others to see as they look at you, in on you? Do you want them to see a raving maniac? Do you want them to see a thief and con artist? Do you want them to see a worthy individual and show respect and admiration towards you? Maybe one person at a time can stop the yelling the fighting and the killing. One at a time, one brick at a time and maybe just maybe we, the USA can be the strong empire again and not fall as we are causing ourselves to do. Afterall it's a nation of people, as a group, as a whole that occupies the lands of the USA.. The People, Us, The Citizen's... We're seen as a foolish country, a sad country, not a Proud country any more. That hurts. How we gonna change that? We can only change ourself. We cannot change the world. We can be peaceful one at a time here and be the Peaceful nation again. Be the Kind country that even appeals to all of us that are here writing about the things we see that we don't like. Talk is cheap. Actions always speak louder than any word as they say. I say it's time we take action on Our Personal Self. Take a look in the mirror and then...Turn off the tv. Turn off the radio, Turn off the computer. Stop reading the papers. Do it for two weeks And then take a look in the mirror at the reflection there that we see. The feeling that is felt within. I'll lay odds that it is a calming feeling. Changing Our Personal Self -- 'Cause that's really all that is a for sure thing that can be changed and controlled by one's self. If we all learn self control well then we will have control again. Think about that one. A Peaceful Nation? A Respected Nation? A Proud Nation? maybe?
