Nov. 1, 2004 Only in Liberal Land does a mass murdering religious fundamentalist, who lives in caves in hiding from the rest of the world, garner moral equivalence to the President of the United States. Only in Liberal Land is a presidential candidate, who earned sufficient electoral votes to seal victory, supported by multiple recounts performed by independent agencies, still deemed to have "stolen" the election. Only in Liberal Land are hardcore murderers and rapists granted second and third chances to live normal lives, free from incarceration, even as their victims often never will again. Only in Liberal Land is an unborn infant not entitled to even a first chance. Only in Liberal Land is the word of 254 war veterans, leaders in battle, subordinated to that of only a few. Only in Liberal Land is dogged perseverence and steadfast belief in good and evil considered a weakness, a fault deserving of an apology. Only in Liberal Land is a Senator with over twenty years of experience and a history of weakness on national defense issues, yet few examples of true leadership accomplishments, considered a better candidate to win the war against terrorism primarily because he says he is. Only in Liberal Land is a man considered to be a liar because he trusted the Intelligence reports of the U.S. and other nations that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction and was pursuing even more illegal firepower, in direct violation of multiple UN resolutions, because he had the "audacity" to enforce United Nations rulings and eliminate a gathering threat against the free world. Only in Liberal Land is the benefit of hindsight confused with wisdom. Only in Liberal Land is it believed the president creates and destroys jobs with the flick of a switch. Only in Liberal Land are income tax cuts considered to be a waste of money and a source of economic destruction. Only in Liberal Land can a man really solve all the world's problems. Only in Liberal Land is a listing of problems and assignment of blame for them confused with possessing actual solutions. Only in Liberal Land is a leader guided by his conscience and not by opinion polls believed to be an embarrassment. Only in Liberal Land is bumper-sticker logic substituted for actual thought and reason. Only in Liberal Land is common sense a nuisance. And were exactly should a disingenuous, self- serving, pacifist politician like John Kerry be president?
