May 31, 2004 The common name, Agent Orange and other dangerous agent colors, came from the orange stripes and other colored stripes on the 50-gallon containers shipped to Vietnam. Therefore, in knowing the chemicals were in Vietnam, one would wonder about the physical and mental complaints of the veterans, and why they would do so. In this brief, we well discuss many issues that have a direct relationship to problems associated with the Veterans exposure to the various agent colors. However we well be discussing only “Agent Orange” for simplicity. We well also discuss Dioxin’s (“Agent Orange”) use here in the states. What was the chemical make up of Dioxin and the various agent colors? This question is very important and needs to be addressed and made public, as you well find. The complaints of the Vietnam Veterans should be considered as well as listened to. Moreover, since the chemical Dioxin surnamed Agent Orange, was used in this country, the US, could the proofs of inherent causes of child birth defects, disabilities, and the behavioral problems of the Veterans and their children, after their service in Vietnam, be wrong? Especially when we look in to the history of the use in the States. Just a quick look! Could the fact, that in some cases very young girls at ages of seven or so began to have the physical ability to become pregnant in the south where Dioxin was heavily used, be wrong? [Alteration of DNA and growth to maturity very early.] Included in the last question, is this. Why does the South have a history of inter-breeding of the families especially from children in their early teens? Would this be the possibility of behavioral problems because of Dioxin’s affect on the thinking process in the mind and acting irrationally? The use of Dioxin in this country, is what caused the use of it in Vietnam because it did a good job of stopping the broad leaf and other unwanted growths, in cotton fields south and cornfields Midwest etc. Part of the use the farmers thought good was that if they wanted to change a crop for the next season. Dioxin would get rid of the last years-unwanted growth of sold products in the farmer’s fields. The use of Dioxin also varied in displacement. Some was used on the railroads, and some was used to help clear unwanted growth in parks etc. (Northwest). Dioxin contained different chemicals that effected growth processes and the failure to thrive issue amongst plants and mammals to which you well learn about. {In case some people did not learn this in school a person is a mammal!!} Some of the separate chemical make-ups have on their own been proven to cause very serious problems of DNA that effect, vegetation and mammals. When we look at the chemicals that made up Agent Orange (Dioxin), it is interesting to note, that the Government and various Chemical Companies that were involved in the processing and distributing; appear to wish you to think Dioxin only one chemical. To which they base what they call proven studied facts on. Again remember the use of Dioxin and its compounds were not new to “Agent Orange”. Dioxin was used in this, and other country’s many years before its use in Vietnam. The problems that it caused were not new to the complaints by Veterans. [Including the immune system of either flora or fauna ( which is mammals )] However, the studies made regarding Veterans for the most part were and are only concentrated on skin rashes called Chloracne. (An acnelike skin disorder caused by prolonged exposure to chlorinated hydrocarbons, which is the make up of dioxin). Not unlike having your body or skin being exposed to gasoline, or other sources of irritants etc. for a period of time. The information here in, is not opinions, but facts that have been proven due to chemical studies. Remember the information about chemicals and the so-called side effects are to be written on the containers in which they are sold. With the buyer, beware attitude, from the companies that created and sold it. However that text is not always complete! THE CHEMICAL MAKE-UP OF DIOXIN. The group of chemicals called dioxins, are accidental by-products created in the process of manufacturing certain herbicides, bactericides, wood preservatives, and other products. Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin, or TCDD, a member of the dioxin group, is believed by many scientists to be the most toxic of all synthetic chemicals. TCDD was acontaminant of the defoliant Agent Orange and some of the other agent colors, which was sprayed on the fields and jungles of Vietnam by U.S. forces [Operation Ranch hand]. It also contaminates the herbicide 2,4,5-T [a chemical code]. Although, TCDD's effects on humans have not been proven definitively, it is suspected of causing miscarriages, birth defects, and serious behavioral (PTSD?) and neurological problems. The reason for this suspicion is the chemical make up of what is known to be in TCDD. Some of the chemical make-ups do in fact cause the problems associated with the complaints of the Veterans regarding Agent Orange or Dioxin and people here in the States. Now as to the chemical make up of Dioxin that follows. We must look into the chemicals and then their individual actions to the human body and the mind. In addition we must look into the reproductive system, including the flora or fauna [mammals.] As far as these issues are concerned, some of which we well look into the natural strand of DNA and RNA, distorted by the makeup of Dioxin, which caused the failure to thrive problems of the plants and mammals. di·ox·in (dº-¼k“s¹n) 1. Any of several (1 carcinogenic ) or teratogenic heterocyclic hydrocarbons that occur as impurities in petroleum-derived herbicides. [ di- 1 ox(o)- -in] 1 Carcinogenic These Carcinogenic chemicals standing alone have been proven to cause the following. A cancer- causing agent--chemical, biological, or physical is termed a carcinogen. They caused and cause a statistically significant in-crease in the incidence of neoplasm (any abnormal growth to tissue in the body, a tumor). Chemicals that cause cancer have a variety of molecular structures. This includes complex hydrocarbons, implicated as the causative agent of sarcoma of blood vessels in the livers to exposed persons. This Carcinogenic is in Dioxin! So why do Veterans and people in various parts of the US have a considerable amount of more liver cancer problems compared with the world in general? sarcoma (sar-k1/2n. pl. sarcomas also sarcomata(- m-t) 1. A malignant tumor arising from connective tissues. [ New Latin from Greek sark½ma sark½mat-, fleshy excrescence from sarkoun, to produce flesh from sarx sark-, flesh] sar·co“ma·toid” (-m…-toid”) or sar·co“ma·tous (-t…s) adj. A sarcoma is a cancer that arises from connective tissue. Sarcomas usually occur in bone, lymph nodes, and skin, they vary considerably in malignancy. In some Sarcomas the cells are so unusual in appearance that it is difficult or impossible to know the type of connective tissue from which they arose. In other Sarcomas, the cells retain enough resemblance to their parent cells to allow the tumor to be classified according to the tissue of origin. Since carcinogenic chemicals standing alone has been proven to cause physical problems then lets take a look at another disease. Which will allow us to look deeper in to the dangerous changing or alteration of the DNA/RNA codes that bring about problems associated with birth defects. CONGENITAL BONE DISEASES There fore we continue on with the discussion regarding congenital problems lets look at PROVEN facts regarding these problems. The very word congenital constitutes the thought of the human sperm meeting the human egg. Now if the sperm’s or the egg’s DNA has been changed due to a chemical interaction, then the following would happen. Congenital Defect Congenital defects, an abnormality present at birth that is acquired during development in the uterus or occurs during the birth process. Some disorders can be diagnosed during pregnancy by AMNIOCENTESIS. Some can be corrected surgically before birth. con·gen·i·tal (k…n-jµn“¹-tl) Adj.1. a. Existing at or before birth. b. Acquired at birth or during uterine development, as a result of either hereditary or environmental influences. This would cause some innate problems that would be possessed at birth, that is after starting or during the initial development of the sperm or egg within the human male or female body. Or would have started in development in the womb after the egg was fertilized. The chemical influences of Dioxin can be obtained by way of skin contact, or inhaling. The taking of dioxin by mouth for testing purposes is discussed later on in this brief. Once DNA is changed or damaged, then the development of the male sperm and or the female egg in the human or other mammals change. If plants are exposed to these chemicals, the DNA’s PROCESS OF development in a plant is then changed. (This is also to be discussed later on.) After development of the offspring the DNA that was altered can be passed on to the development of the next generation. But remember once the DNA is changed the structure of the new developed mammal or plant is changed as well. The above mentioned congenital bone diseases constitute a wide spectrum, ranging from the unimportant--for instance, mild bow legs--to severe lesions, such as spina bifida. In which the lower end of the spine fails to develop properly and the baby is born with paralysis and misshapen vertebrae. (Spine being told to form cartilage rather than bone.) Congenital diseases may have hormonal [which TCDD bases may have altered]. For example, fibrous DYSPLASIA, in which fibrous tissue replaces that of some bones, which will result in bone deformity. Congenital defects also have a genetic bases, however most of the chemical make up of Dioxin causes problems or changes in the DNA’s genetic area. Disorders of growth and development include several kinds of Dwarfism and Gigantism.
