May 19, 2004 All this time saving is eating Away at My Life I can't stand it any longer .. I have saved so much time that I will probably live to be as old as my jokes! "Did you hear about the Pharoe who whose mummy...you get the picture. I am saving so much time that I am dieing faster than ever before. Just take email for example. Yeah, just take it.. these old jokes are just part of the problem. Do you get eleventyleven old jokes sent to you each day, or circular jokes that seem to appear at least as often and as welcome as your credit card bill. It is not funny It is eating away at my life and not adding humor. How can anyone read 98 messages in your inbox? But it is saving time. I am not calling and waiting for a a person to pick up. I am reading the newspapers and only the parts that interest me. I am staying in touch with my friends and family regularly and maintaining relationships... No I am Not..!!! I am saving precious time that could be spent away from this chair, this keyboard and actually talking to and seeing real people. I am saving time that would be wasted on conversation with my wife or children that would just be small talk, not real significant, meaningful dialogue. But I am burning up hours saving all this time so I can spend much more of my time saving time. . I am stuck with all these emails that a person ought to read and respond to. I am just sitting here, again wasting much more time than I ever saved with this computer and email and PDA and...
