June 21, 2004 Mr. Jenneson, this is a response to your June 15 article in which you obviously could not count nor find the truth through your own ego. For one, even though I am only 28 years old, I did not know of a World War 3, please tell me when this war took place so I can contact the publishers and printers of school books, encyclopedias, internet sites and historic books in general. I also need to know what countries were involved. Your bashing of George Bush is not only sad and pathetic but is also WRONG!!!! First off, I didn't see your resume saying anything about being President of the greatest country on Earth, nor did it say anything about Governor or attending Yale. The dog comment was off limits and you know it. Just because your leader doesn't have the guts to chase and face down terrorists doesn't mean you have to badmouth our's. What would your dictator have done when 3,000 defenseless, innocent souls were lost in a cowardly act of venegance. Would he have insisted on flying to the one place where they wanted him to be?? To be killed?? Would he have been on television that very night to comfort his people, to let the viscious monsters know we were coming?? It is easy to show discretion when it wasn't your neighbors, husband/wife, children, family members, coworkers or friends who were killed in one dastardly act, one of which will never be forgotten. When they hit you don't beg us to come running. Also, I have never, in my life, heard of the Germans being more afraid of the Canadian troops than of the Americans in World War II. My mother has read more books than you could shake a stick at and she hasn't heard of anything like this. My grandfather served in World War II and Korea while my father went to West Point and served in Vietnam. My brother, fortunately didn't serve in any wars but went to Anapolis. NONE of the people on my life has ever heard of the enemy running from the Canadians faster than us, the Americans. I have always heard good things about Canadians and Canada in general but apparently you didn't fit into that margin. Yes, we murder each other everyday. Most of us don't like it. We don't tolerate it nor do we support it. Why don't you meet an American and find out how and who we really are instead of reading statistics for once?? Afraid you might learn something?? How many Canadians come to America every year to get away from the taxes?? I love being an American and love my life. If you don't like being so close to us I know for a fact, you can check on Fox News or any cable news station, that there are openings for suicide bombers daily in the wonderful countries of Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Iraq as well as others. Also, I am sure the newly vacated houses could use a new owner but be sure to take some Comet as the blood stains may not come off so easily. You don't live here, you don't like us, so don't be near us. If we are "invading" your precious country and you can't stand it anymore, then either do something about it or move. But I promise that at least we are getting jobs immediately and being productive members of society unlike other immigrants who have come to America or Canada. Also, if you think you are a not a huge terrorist target, think again... You are a white, middle aged, pork eating, hamburger loving, intellectual, educated, non- Islamic man who lives close to the U.S. They will come for you first. ------------ About the author: My name is Kristen D.
