July 24, 2004 Before I get into this article, let me kind of point out a snub, what it means to me. A snub is what I did to the Narcissist (self-absorbed) that emailed me and said in his narcissist way (nature): I found three misspelling on your site. I wrote back and told him, I hoped he'd find something better to do in life, other than that (which I already knew) otherwise it would be quite a boring life to lead, that is picking out a few misspelling words; incidentally, James Joyce's Ulysses, took 13-years to correct all the misspellings, and Faulkner's first editions, which I have most of, have between 10 and 15 mistakes. But the point is, he didn't like one of my articles, it must have hit home, but was not brave enough to withstand the truth. What he was really trying to tell me, is what he didn't tell me, because he didn't like to hear the truth, and he didn't like me writing it. Now let's shift gears to Israel, for there is a similarity here. Israel snubs the EU, Mr. Solana the EU Envoy says in essence: why should Israel snub us, why should they cancel planned meetings with Governmental officials, because they already know we didn't like them putting up a wall. Consequently, nothing was a surprise, so Mr. Solana indicates. Like the Narcissist that wrote me, what did the EU EXPECT? A snub for a snub. Mr. Solana, is just baffled because of this, can't figure it out. You would think with his intelligence he could. I would say to Mr. Solana, go back to Egypt and Jordan where they like your ideas, as I told the Narcissist, to go find something in better in life to do. You can't expect Israel to put out their hands to them, smile and ask them to dinner. I'm always a bit taken back when people show this surprised look at retaliation. Israel should be a bit upset at the EU, and UN, where 150 out of the 190 nations voted against the Wall. The issue should be resolving the killings first, and talk of peace (the situation) second. It is like the Narcissist, his issues are not with my spelling, it is with me and my articles. I say to the Narcissist, don't read them if it bakes your day, or don't go to my site if it upsets your programming. And to Mr. Solana I say the EU is just like the Narcissist: thus, a snub for a snub, it sounds fare to me: you know, a two way street. Incidentally, thanks to the Narcissist, he inspired me with this article. ------------ About the author: Mr. Siluk is a world traveler, a lover of the mysteries around the world, and has visit many World Heritage Sites, the most recent being Easter Island and the Galapagos.
