Democratic Party Embracing A Coalition Of Closet Marxists

By Brooks A. Mick
Aug 31, 2004

Do You See What I SEE?

Some psychologists talk of a Significant Emotional Experience, a SEE. This is such a shock to the system that it can kick people out of the rut that their thoughts and beliefs have been imbedded in.

I thought perhaps the Democratic Party had such a SEE in 2000, when they lost the Florida and national elections on top of the 1994 loss of control of the House of Representatives. But in truth it didn't shake them out of their embracing of a coalition of radical left-wing closet Marxists. I call them Marxists because the one thing that joins the feminists and the environmentalists and the anarchists and the union bosses is their animosity toward corporate America, toward business, toward the capitalist system in general. In fact, it may have caused them to dig their rut deeper.

And then I thought that, after chanting maniacally for 2 years about hating Bush and taking back the House and gaining in the Senate, they would have experienced a SEE when they lost even more ground in the elections of 2002. But no, they became even more hysterically left-wing and radical and extremist. Even more virulent anti-Bush hatred took hold and their rut gtew deeper.

And what now? It appears that Bush's voter support is building while Kerry's is simultaneously trickling over the cliff, the left- wing cliff bordering the Bering Sea, the cliff that the Democratic lemmings appear to be marching, marching, marching toward at ever- increasing pace, the cliff beneath which lies the icy water that will be their watery grave if they persist in scurrying leftward. So what will the left do if Bush wins handily, as I suspect he will?

Will the Democrats awaken from their decades long hallucination or will the Democratic Party die a whimpering death in the next few years? It will be interesting to see.
