Aug 28, 2004 Been gone awhile and had to do things to get food on the table and got back to my little town today. Decided to go see what was happening in town since I've ignored it for so long. Stopped into a watering hole for the locals. Holds 18 people. Was lucky and had one chair available so sat down and ordered a Bud draw. I only had a large bill and slid it over the counter and the guy didn't recognize me because I haven't been down town in awhile. He took it anyway and punched the cash machine and it popped open. He didn't have the change I guess. Next thing I knew he just left the bar, drawer open and everybody sittin, minutes later he came back with change. Drawer was still open and untouched from when he left. That hit me a bit. Seems I need to quit traveling so much and stay home. Heck where else can you go for that kind of entertainment? ------------ About the author: I am a self-employed private investigator with a background in law enforcement and military. I served in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army and in law enforcement rose in ranks from patrolman to investigator to deputy chief of police and acting chief of police. When in the Army I served as a (97F) psyops specialist where I was tasked to write and produce material in all media formats for enemy consumption. I live in a quaint little valley in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with a creek full of trout in my back yard so when I am not working or writing, I am chasing that elusive giant trout that taunts me. If I ever catch it I will throw it back to try and catch it again. Visit: http://ROCKYMTNPI.home.att.net Email: ROCKYMTNPI@worldnet.att.net Tell a friend about this site! ------------ |
