Aug 26, 2004 The call came anonymously late one night. There was a swift boat off the shores of Florida and it was going down fast. The head of the department wanted answers. What's going on? Someone called in there was a boat going down. What do we know? We know it was shot full of holes. Full of holes? Yeah, that's what I said. Holes. Why would someone shoot it full of holes? Terrorists? You wish, no this was the fool who launched the thing in the first place. A real whacko. Thinks he has the stuff to be a world player. Leader of the free world is how he puts it. The guy must be a real nut job. What's he like? Well, he tells one story and then another. Says he did one thing then something else, there's some back him up and others says he's crazy as a coondog in a Davy Crocket convention. Kinda sad. He's not running on all systems; that's for sure. What's the guy do for a living? It's been bandied about he's a Senator, but some say he lives off his wives' money. Very few people can say they ever recall him being on the Senate floor. Not big on attending sessions. Right now he's running around yelling at people. I think he needs a class in voice modulation. Can't say two words in normal speach. Well, then how did he get holes in his boat? He shot himself in the foot with his own gun. And get this...the name of the boat is Tour of Duty. You don't mean...Yeah, the guy's name is John Kerry. Want us to bring him in? Is he still onboard? Yeah. No, just let him go down with the ship; it'll save the taxpayers a lot of money. And besides, he'll be better off. Isn't that what the captain does anyway? Semper Fi! ------------ About the author: Lee Zelhart is a writer, artist, father, and all around harmless little fuzzball.
