Aug 23, 2004 On Sunday’s edition of Fox News Sunday, there he was again, Mr. John “Busted Liar” Hurley defending Kerry. Why do I call him a liar? Please see my column “John Kerry’s Viet Nam Stories” of August 16. When asked about the Christmas in Cambodia story, he once again polluted the airwaves with the same idiotic comment that “There were no Welcome to Cambodia signs.” If you read the above mentioned column you will see what I said. However when I wrote that column I forgot to mention that after the July 17, 1968 incident with the ARMY guys who by mistake wondered into Cambodia and were arrested by the Cambodians, the ARMY Corps of Engineers installed a concrete barrier in the water at the border. If Kerry went into Cambodia sure wasn’t on a boat. What amazes me is that Kerry keeps sending out this proven, discredited liar to defend him. Of course they were buddies when they worked together insulting Viet Nam vets by accusing them of war crimes. I am not a psychiatrist but it sure seems to me that this is a very serious case of “Two birds of a feather” syndrome. I am sure that the media knows this guy’s background and it’s incredible that they still bring him on, unless he is the best John Kerry has to defend him since he will not face the American people himself. ------------ About the author Al Young: I am a disgusted former registered democrat. The last straw was the performances by Carville, Lanny Davis and Chris Matthews.
