"I Hear You Knocking" [The Bush FBI]

By Ron Jenkins
Aug 16, 2004

It was a simpler time in America. A time when a knock on the door meant the local Girl Scout's were selling cookies again. Might even be the newspaper boy, who I forgot to pay last week. Heck, good chance it could be the school football team doing a paper drive to buy new helmets. That was then, this is now.

Today, that knock belongs to the knuckles of an agent and his partner. An agent of the FBI, sent out by the Bush administration to the home of a dissenter. An anti-Bush person, or maybe just an anti-Republican who doesn't believe in the policies and "miscalculations" that led us to believe that the Iraqi people were dying to be like us.

The Bush FBI has been ordered to go door to door to harass anyone who is against this administration. This isn't fiction folks, this is something that you can read for yourselves in any of today's newspaper. Or, you can dust off your history books, and look up governments such as those under the leadership of Hitler and Mussolini. They liked sending agents door to door.

The Republican convention isn't far off and the "concern" is that there may be violence. So, the idea behind the door to door campaign is to stop it before it starts, I guess that's what they want me to believe. I wouldn't believe it regardless of what type of platter they served it to me on.

I thought we needed every able-bodied person in federal law enforcement to fight the war on "terror." But, it looks like we can afford to spare these ones to terrorize the citizens of this country. Makes me wonder, just how serious Bush and his boys are about the war on terror. Looks to me like it's more of a war on the First Amendment.
