Is The Police There When Needed?

By Marlene Thornton
Aug 15, 2004

Can another person go up, and beyond the law? Last week someone out of know where went to a persons land, and threw every thing out doors. The house was not the mans house on his property. But, he owned what was in it. The mans cousin owned the property, but his cousin passed away.

But the cousins sister just came, and threw all his life long positions out doors. All last week there was a terrible storm with hurricane like down falls. Here is the mans belongs laying out in the beating down weather. Thousnads of dollars worth of appliances, and furniture. Along with multiple other belongings.

A few days pass, and people around the neighbor hood starts dragging stuff away. Then, another epidemic starts. Now, he is faced with this.

Not only did the man lose his things to the storm, he then had his things stolen from. This man already got a divorce last year of 2003. But, this year ,2004, the ex wife makes up her mind to sell the property to his cousin. So, it seems to be he needs to take her to court, also.

The cousin made up her own mind to resell the house. Throwing al his things out of it on to the ground. Needless to say the house might of been hers. But, she was on his property at the time of this happening. Less to say, the house is still there. Should he not have someone move the house off it. And, put it along side of the road?

He called the police as soon as it happened, many times. No one came. He explained to the police about what happened, and not one police officer showed. How do you fight justice? When the enforcement law isn't on your side.

In another instance, a ladies mother passed away. The property was left to one of the daughters. The land was the daughters grandfather. This was his desire after her mother passed along.

After the girls mother died, she went to go on the property. Her mothers brother kicked her off it. Said, he didn't think he wanted her living there. A year, and a half before that. He burnt down her mothers trailer. Her brother passed away in the home. The mother could not stay in the house, so she left that evening. In the time it took with in one week. The trailer was burnt to the ground.

The daughter went to the police, and they said they could not do anything for her. That is was a criminal act, and she would need to go out of town to get help. At this point it seems the justice system has failed. Not only did these two people lose their loved one. They are faced with being a victim. Do they spend thousands of dollars taking these people to court? In reality both these criminals have stolen. But, the victim is the one paying. Where is the reality of all this?

When the mother died, there should of been know argument. It was in her grandfathers will. The property belonged to her mother. It did not state who it went to after that. But, it was not for the brother to say. All the ladies family knew who it went to after. But, the girl feels it is in the justice system, to help her. She does not want to spend thousands of dollars for a man that needs locked up. He burnt her mothers home. Then, he feels he can have the property. If someone burns down something that doesn't belong to them, its a crime. The police has all the right to take force. Expecially when an illegal act is displayed, But, they did not. Now, this girl is with out a home. She pays rent, and has to survive. She is disabled with epilepsy, and MS. And, the governments help that was suppose to be there was not. She not only became a victim to her brothers, and mothers death. He burnt the house down. And, he stole the property. She has no one to turn to. Who she thought she could it went against her.

In this case, I guess anyone can go over to their next door neighbors. Burn the house down, and tell them the property is theirs. No that can't happen. But, is happening. And, the law doesn't seem to want to do anything about it.

In conclusion, it don't seem the police force is their when needed. It seems a person can go up, and beyond the law.
