May 10, 2003 I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one who wonders why we still don't have the truth about JFK's untimely death. Why do the records have to be sealed for 70 years before all the records can be released. The prosaic answer to my mind is to protect the guilty parties who benefitted from his death and who are potentially still living. This withholding of facts from the people is tantamount to a treasonous act against the people perpetrated by the parties unknown within and without of the government and upheld by a judicial system, hi-jacked from the people that they were sworn to protect. There are many other things I would like to know but for reasons couched in National Security issues I am simply not allowed to know. Somehow or other we are all kept distracted from a serious quest for the truth. The political landscape is dotted with issues that lack imagination and bore the heck out of the average person. The interesting questions get drowned out in the backround noise of the mundane day to day. We are all kept so busy, watching sports scores, running to pay, the banks, taxes and bills, consuming and conforming that we have little time left for coherent action. Thats just the way the powers that be want it! Its no accident that a large percentage of prime time TV is populated by the crime/courtroom drama/medical drama, Morality plays by the hour put on by authority figures in uniforms with badges and guns.. We can't all be Doctors, Lawyers and Police officers but thats what we're fed.. Whats the unspoken message the hidden lesson? Conform.. or this can happen to you! Paranoia? I know what JFK would say or Martin Luther, ..or Malcom X.. I cant be the only on one.. Can I? ------------ Email Stan Bernard: bernard_stan@yahoo.com Comment on this column in the forum. ------------ |
