Dissention Hurts The Troops Moral
Mar 16, 2003

With war looming in Iraq, can we afford to not support our troops? The answer is NO. I have many friend's that were in the Vietnam War, and their biggest gripe when they returned was the dissention and bad feelings among the citizens of this country.

Unlike the situation today, the protesting of the Vietnam War didn't start in earnest till many years after we were there. Today on the other hand, protesting is starting even before the first shot has been fired.

I'm sick and tired of turning the TV on day after day and seeing people bad mouth this great country. If they don't like it, as it has been said before, leave.

We all know that this country has it's flaws and it's not perfect, but it's ours, and we should be proud of it.

Yes, people have the right to protest and complain, that's our right. Try that in many other countries and see what will happen to you.

Remember September 11th, I do. I felt proud of our people that day, and the weeks that followed. The kindness, friendship, patriotism, and unity made me proud to be an American. Where did it go? It's gone, and I don't think it'll be back anytime soon.

Remember, if it wasn't for our troops, "our children", protecting our freedoms, you wouldn't have the right to protest. If your protests stop this war, and they won't, and another 9/11 happens, what will you say then? I hope you can live with yourselves. This is just my opinion.
