Mar. 15, 2006 Isaac Hayes is the very epitome of cool, with his rich baritone voice he's the quintessential soul singer and the perfect choice for voiceover narration. I'm from the generation that knows Isaac Hayes as the singer of "Shaft" and other soulful hits, but today's generation knows him as the voice of "Chef" from the "Comedy Central" show "South Park". "South Park" is an irreverent and outrageous cartoon show, that not only doesn't shy away from targeting sacred cows, it butchers them in the name of comedy. A show that in one famous episode featured a talking piece of human excrement, is going to satirize everyone from Jesus Christ to George W. Bush. Isaac Hayes has been with "South Park" since its inception several years ago, he is well acquainted with the outrageous nature of the program. All of a sudden Isaac Hayes has quit the "South Park", claiming it's because of the show's "intolerance and bigotry toward religious beliefs." Whatcha talking about Willis? From day one "South Park" has poked fun at religious beliefs. "South Park" made fun of Scientologists in a recent episode, and it appears that Isaac Hayes doesn't care if "South Park" ridicules religion, as long as it leaves Scientology alone. I'm not an expert on Scientology, but I don't want anything to do with a religion that makes Tom Cruise act like an idiot, and makes Isaac Hayes appear uncool.
