Mar. 7, 2006 I watched all three nights of Greta Van Susteren's interview with Joran van der Sloot and I must say the boy was convincing. Of course, if you are a former attorney and you do an interview deposition-style and don't ask any follow-up questions when there are inconsistencies you will come out with a very convincing witness. I am not going to list all of the inconsistent comments that Joran made because this article would be never-ending, but suffice it to say, there were plenty of them. I took notes and as I read them afterward I counted over 35 comments that didn't agree with other things that Joran said not only during his interview with Greta but during his interview on Primetime. I'm not even going to go into the interview with A Current Affair and other known statements given by Joran. There were a lot of unasked and unanswered questions and I'll leave it at that. The change of heart that Greta's panel displayed was mind blowing in it's hypocrisy but that doesn't surprise me because none of them know anything about the case that the average viewer doesn't know. Only one of them (the former Prosecutor naturally) mentioned that there were a lot of follow-up questions that he would have liked answered. I agree that at the moment and based on what the Aruban's have released there is nothing to charge the suspect's with and there appears to be no evidence of a crime having been committed. Of course, that is based on a system that doesn't release any information at all and doesn't seem to know how to conduct a proper investigation so there's nothing terribly surprising about not having any proof of a crime. I heard one of Natalee's relatives suggest that Joran should take a polygraph test to prove his innocence. That's a bit naive considering that they don't use them in the Dutch legal system and Joran's attorneys would bind, gag and lock him in a dungeon before they'd ever allow him to subject himself to anything that could indicate whether or not he was telling the truth. What we have left is Joran's word....let's examine that shall we. Joran's word...the word of a boy who wouldn't even believe himself. The word of an admitted liar. Not terribly reassuring is it. Greta's questioning of Joran left even more questions that I would like answered and apparently I am not alone in that because a lot of people seem to agree with me. Joe Tacopino is a regular "talking head" on The Abram's report and since I believe that Dan Abrams is an excellent attorney and an excellent journalist I would like to hear him question Joran. I think we'd get our follow-up questions asked and answered. So how about it Joran? Will you continue your one man PR crusade and allow Dan to ask you a few question? I would be very interested in seeing and hearing that particular interview. Until those unanswered questions and inconsistencies are cleared up I end where I began..Joran van der Sloot knows what happened to Natalee Holloway and he has yet to tell the truth. ------------ About the author: Meri has a Medical/Legal background and is a former forensic researcher specializing in psychological profiling. https://www2.xlibris.com/bookstore/bookdisplay.asp?bookid=27335 Email: writers2@cox.net Comment on this article here! ------------ All articles are EXCLUSIVE to Useless-Knowledge.com.
