The Oscars - Racism Beats Homosexuality (Almost)

By Michael John McCrae
Mar. 6, 2006

The guy who played “Capote” won the best actor Oscar for his portrayal of the gay writer so it wasn’t a total wash for Hollywood’s 2006 Gay Agenda Promotion also known as the Academy Awards.

Instead a movie about racism (“Crash”) took the top prize (Best Movie) over the much touted Gay Cowboy love fest “Brokeback Mountain”.

Reese Witherspoon took Best Actress for her role as June “Carter” Cash in “Walk the Line”, beating out the gal who made the movie that was somewhat glorifying of Tran sexuality.

I really don’t know what that spells for Hollywood. “Brokeback Mountain” scored very low on the attendance side when compared to 2004’s blockbuster attendance for Mel Gibson’s “Passion”. Hollywood not only didn’t get the hint but deliberately went the other way and continued to try to gin up excitement for the queer side of life.

And I think I am being very objective when I say I could have cared less for any of the hype because I didn’t see any of these movies, nor do I have any desire to see but one of them. I believe Hollywood doesn’t know how to make movies anymore. They make 2 and 4 hour political statements. They make 2 and 4 hour wide screen diatribes against the government. They make 2 and 4 hour hate speeches against decent segments of society. They make 2 and 4 hour filmed glorifications of homicide murderers and the sexually confused.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I loved Johnny and June Cash and I will see “Walk the Line” when I have the chance to see it. But I am still looking for a chance to see the Jamie Fox portrayal of “Ray” Charles. My desire to see these two films lies in my love for the music of Johnny Cash and Ray Charles, not necessarily in the acting of Joaquin Phoenix, or Jamie Fox.

I believe much of America can see that the film industry is overrun with those who sympathize with and even enjoy the homosexual lifestyle to the point that they wish everyone could be homosexual. I am glad to see that this same segment of America seemingly rejects this continual bombardment of immorality by staying away from the box office.

None of this will end though. Hollywood will continue to promote its agenda items and they will continue to give themselves awards for their efforts at subverting the goals of heterosexual society. Fortunately, I don’t choose a film by its media hype or its claim of multiple awards. Nowadays I just wait for the DVD and read the back of the package.
