Jan. 16, 2006 Clarence Ray Allen is 75, legally blind, diabetic, a survivor of a recent heart attack and confined to a wheelchair -- anyone in his precarious health would be said to have "his days numbered." But Allen's days are literally numbered, he is scheduled to be executed by the Sate of California tomorrow. Allen is not a harmless old man calmly waiting for angels to take him to the "Big Rest Home In The Sky", he is a cold-blooded monster who received the death penalty for ordering three murders in 1980, while he was serving time in Folsom state prison on a previous murder conviction. Governor. Arnold Schwarzenegger turned down Allen's bid for clemency, rejecting the argument of the con's attorneys that he is too old and sick to be executed. "The depravity of Allen's crimes has not diminished with the years,'' the governor explained. "The passage of time does not excuse Allen from the jury's punishment.'' In 1982 when Allen was convicted of ordering the brutal murder of three people, he showed no emotion and never expressed any remorse. Now that he is a withered old man, he doesn't deserve any sympathy. Allen should be issued a new pair of Depends, strapped to his wheelchair, injected with lethal drugs and rolled straight to hell. In his present condition Allen couldn't hurt a flea, but he is being punished for horrible crimes that he committed when he was middle-aged man. It would be an outrage against common sense, the wishes of the jury, and the victims' families if the courts intervene at the last moment to spare this scoundrel's life. ------------ About the author: Robert Paul Reyes has written over 200 articles for Useless-Knowledge.com.
